What do you mean? CIMB allows daily max interbank transfer of 100k but each transfer is limited to 50k. Same for SCB.

Why I called cimb they say max daily interbank transfer is 50k ?

How did you get 100k daily limit?

My 2 year-old SCB Step-up FD just matured today ...

Earlier in the month, SCB send me a letter that states something like this :

For the $$ (principal + interest that matured by end-Sep) that I had chose to transfer back to my eSaver will be treated as "fresh" fund and qualifies for whatever fresh fund promo that SCB may have from October.

Wonder if anyone else got this offer letter?

Managed to find the link to the offer promo. Post here for info only.

The Q4 Promotion T&C states that it is only applicable for "new to bank" customers. That means existing customers will not enjoy the bonus interest?

Does it help if I transfer in on 2nd Oct?
I dont remember noticing any issue when I made the transfers in the past few rounds of promo

its purely based on ADB for that month, not when you put in how much.

eg, you can only put in on the 16 Oct, amt 2000, keep it till end of the month, the ADB for Oct will still be above 1000, so no $5 charge

Uhhh what I meant is from 1 Sep to 30 Sep, bank account balance is $0
I transferred in money on 1 Oct, thinking it's the start of a new month so I can start fresh. But the bank deducted $5 fall below fee on 1 Oct.

Hence, if I want to start transferring money into an account which has been empty for the past one month, when should I do the transfer in order to avoid the fall below fee?

You already said September was ZERO. The fee will be imposed next month.

In short, the minimum Daily balance must be 1k for 30days monthly.

Exactly! I get your points.
I get that I had $0 for Sep, so naturally there would be fall below fee, but I was planning of starting afresh in Oct so I transferred in on 1 Oct.
But if I still get slapped with fall below fee in 1 Oct, that means in order to avoid the fee, I cannot deposit money in for the month of Oct
But if I cannot deposit money in for the month of Oct , then I will be slapped with the fee in Nov
And the cycle goes on and on. So the question is, when can I "restart"? Or do I just have to accept the fee?

I'm not sure if you're getting my point :/
