Just one way to lock your funds for long term. But I think it's quite a good deal.

Beginning Jul, I switched SCB (1.35% for Jun/Jul) to MBB at 1.45% for Jul/Dec. Then CIMB came along with offer of 1.65% for 6 mths or 1.8% for 12 mths. So I emptied MBB and took up CIMB 6 mths FDs with several FDs in sum of 20k each (in case I need to withdraw) :s13:

Have a look at Maybank iSavvy (think max 1.45%) and Citibank maxigain accounts

maybank 1.45% requires min. $200k. it's 1.33% for $50k to $200k. just below 1.35% of eSaver.

Citibank needs to roll the money for 12 mths before can enjoy higher rates than current FDs.

Yes. You need to take out after promo period and move to other banks as interest would go back to base rate which can be as low as 0.1%.

me priority with nothing :s13:

I'm not sure about esaver. but i experience lately after leaving 80k with maybank for a month or so, i was offered the upgrade to my horizon card to special invite card which i didn't take up cos there are no goodies given. i guess if u ever place a sum up to their "standard" they are actually quietly observing and will privately offer u special add ons. just my guess.
