I read that. But I have already a line of bonus interested credited. So there will be 2 lines? There is so many variance here. Some received 1.35 in first day and difference of (1.8 vs 1.6) in week 3. and some receive none on first day. then me, just a dollar plus in the beginning. Dun even know what computation is that. Clarify with my RM, he say October is comparing to September balance?! Which totally don’t make sense to me because I signed for 12 months from August.
Meaning aug compare Jul. sep compare jul. oct compare incremental SEP. what is the logic?

Chill bro.. Lets wait till week 3 and if the interest amount is still incorrect, then can file a dispute with SCB..

I think SC purposely put promo period starts from 10 Oct in order to disqualify majority who put in early Oct. Not very kind practise.

So just withdraw out for 30 days and redeposit back in order to requalify.

I also signed up in Aug. I live chat with SCB, CSO told me exclusive bonus interest will only credited 3rd week. So far only received the base interest on 1st day. Hopefully additional 1.55% will come in by 3rd week.

At least you got some bonus interest, i only got the base interest.

I guess your Oct ADB is same as Sep ADB? Hence only base interest credited on 1st Nov.

If your Oct ADB is higher than Sep ADB, u will receive the bonus interest on the incremental difference of the above ADB on 1st Nov. The balance of bonus interest based on your exclusive promo reference month will be credited within 15 working days.
If the two bonus interest credited doesn't tally with your own calculation, call your RM to sort it.

SCB has been giving out bonus interest for esaver exclusive promotions this way..need to get use to their crediting method.

Yes, my Oct ADB is lower than Sep, I guess your explanation makes much more sense.

Hmm. You sounded more logical than my RM. so the by 15th, it will be the 1.35/1.55% on the whole of the balance from when I signed up right? The incremental from sep to oct is only on the interest earned in sep, which explain why it is only a dollar plus...

If 1st Oct deposit $200k, 1st Nov withdraw $200k and 1st Dec deposit $200k and keep for 90 days, in this scenario will it be eligible for the $500 gift?

Based on existing promotional interest rate upon top up. So the $500 cash credit is on top of the 1.8% u received now.

also received the mailer today

the current sSaver promo rate of 1.8% is just for Nov & Dec while u need to keep 200k for 3 months to get $500 for this ... so the 3rd month interest would just be prevailing rate of 0.25% :(

in that case, the EIR is around 2.30% pa over a 3 month period

the 3 to 6mth wait for crediting is also very long

will monitor the new eSaver promo on 1 Dec to decide

If u are on the special 12mth esaver promo, then u are covered for Jan (3rd month) as well.

i was keen to take this promo too but in the end gave it up

too much ambuiguity..place on 1st dec keep for 90days, but promo pamphlet say is from 8th oct to 31st dec

even if you placed in esavers with 1.8% interest, it only gives interest for 2 months and you need to lock 3rd month with zero interest. Then also not sure which account is eligible..sometimes they will specifically exclude esavers from these sort of promo.

8Oct to 31Dec, this period is for u to fund the account. Lock 3 months is counted from your funding date.

Esavers account is eligible for this $500 promo.

good point .. i was invited twice for that but did not participate .. regret now

looking at the terms now, it's kinda no brainer to just enrol using $100k ... no lock-in somemore :(

WAhh I'm keen to do this if it qualifies for the gift!
But is this gift for special invites only?

I actually put mine with May bank. If I'm not wrong, May bank December rate is 1.9%

https://info.maybank2u.com.sg/promotion/deposits-banking/fresh-funds-top-up.aspx

Planning to do the same for Dec as well, then end of Dec move back to eSaver for 3 months to get the $500 gift. :)
