Can i transfer from esaver 1 to esaver 2 directly and still get 2% without transferring to another bank? Anybody did it and still get the bonus interests?

I asked the same questn and branch staff said it is ok as system does not track. But tncs say must be fresh funds so doing this is at your own risk

Wart does dis mean

Sent from Xiaomi MI MAX 3 using GAGT

according to their terms, fresh funds refer to

“Fresh funds” means funds that do not originate from any existing account with the Bank or funds that are not withdrawn and re-deposited within 30 days of the Promotion Period.

so that means that any funds from any accounts within SC won't be counted, so the eSaver1 to eSaver2 shouldn't work.

but the eSaver1 to eSaver2 works, so the "fresh funds" is not per as their TnCs. but "fresh funds" is still needed, if not just one eSaver account would be enough.

All my savings are in esaver now
So when they say this interest promo is extended till may 2020, all my existing funds in esaver don't qualify at all? Then it is useless to me

In the t&c they didn't give a reference month to compare the daily balance against

First time got the invitation too. But 1.8% worth taking up? Lower than their current 2% esaver.

Any advice?

1.8% or higher.

Eg if 1jun scb esaver offer 2.1%, then u get 2.1% for the 2 mths, jun-jul. If esaver is 1.9%, u get 1.9%. but if esaver offers 1.7% on 1jun, u will still get 1.8%.

i just got a physical letter. they said all we need to do is maintain the current balance. So that means no need for fresh funds I think.

Adding to tmk’s advice, it saves the trouble of moving funds for similar rates. Suits lazy people like me :s13:
And u got a better offer at 1.8%. Mine is at 1.75% from May 2019 to May 2020.

Scb pattern is like that wan, later invitees get offered higher guaranteed interest...

Hahaha SC basically telling us don't bother playing switching game, save the effort for you (at least for 1 year).
