I think these are possible triggers to get the invite:
1. Actually have evidence of a good balance in eSaver.
2. Most important, we need to empty it out. Seems if we have a high balance, we won’t get invite. No point in being loyal.
3. Got different mechanisms. But a common one is the bonus is based on incremental compared to balance on the last day of a particular month. So when u empty out account, make sure the amount on this important day is just a few dollars. And don’t put in any money until SCB gives u the invite. I don’t think the invite is immediate.
No need to 2nd guess how Scb esavvy do things la,,,theirs is based on liquidity n that in turn
hinges on global perspective……these few myths when mkt believed Fed may hv paused for good,
you realise Scb temp down its rate due to ,probably, ample liquidity,,a a time when SSB n t-bill headed
downslope…….

Fst fwd now….yu hear Fedchief mentioned 2 more consecutive hikes,,,Mkt flinched,,,,liquidity picture tightened,,,,T bill n likely SSB resume higher,,,,guess these are factors that propel Scb to maintain or up the esaver rate from here …..

so no need to 2nd guess what you need to do,eg maintain good amt etc,,,,
no amt in yr acct is bigger than the mkt’s perception of liquidity….

Did you receive Bonus Interest on 31 May 2023?

Bonus Interest on 31 May 2023 + Sign-up bonus interest interest for May23 (01 of 7) should add up to 3.95%

I checked mine and it tally.

For May I did receive both Bonus interest and Sign-up bonus, though the total amount seems a bit off as I was upgraded to Priority status halfway, so its quite confusing on how the interest % will be calculated. But I let it go since its not that big a sum that's diff. The RM subsequently confirmed that because of upgrade, I am eligible for 6 months of 4% from May till Oct.

My case is an existing eSaver Upgraded to Priority on the last week of May.

31 May Bonus Interest (Credited 31 May) is based on Incremental ADB of 3.75% (as published).

Sign-up bonus interest interest for May23 (01 of 7) is derived based on the below:
  • [ADB (Non Incremental) * 3.95% / 365 * 31] - 31 May Bonus Interest

Sign-up bonus interest interest for May23 (01 of 7) was credited on 28 Jun.

Hope the above helps you.

So for the month of June did you get the interest in 2 separate sums or just 1 sum under "Sign-up bonus interest interest" ?

June Interest not yet credited, June haven't finished, today is last day of Jun. Tomorrow then can check.

May Interest is Credited over 2 Interest Transactions, 31 May and 28 Jun.

The Jun public rate is 3.35% on incremental against May 2023 ADB, my Incremental ADB will result in a few dollars bonus interest which will be credited tomorrow morning with the date 30 Jun.

The remaining difference [Sign-up bonus interest interest for Jun23 (02 of 7)] will be credited in late Jul 2023.
Meaning Sign-up bonus interest interest for Jun23 (02 of 7) will be as below:
  • [ADB (Non Incremental) * 3.95% / 365 * 30] - 30 June Bonus Interest

Were you on a special Priority Banking signup or upgrade exclusive e$aver promo for the month of May23?

Do take note of this important clause of the T&C to be qualified for the overall of 4%

I only opened the account in May, so the end-of-day deposit balance for 30 April will be counted as 0 isn't it?

Did you received the below? If yes, the below 3 is meant for May Interest (4.00 %).
  1. 31 May - CR Interest <-- This is Prevailing Interest
  2. 31 May - Bonus Interest Payment <-- This is Bonus Interest based on Public Rate
  3. 28 Jun - Sign-up bonus interest interest for May23 (01 of 7) <-- The amount credited is the difference between 3.95% and 31 May Bonus Interest Payment.
Item 2 + 3 will sum up to the sign up TnC Bonus Interest (3.95 %).
