31 Oct is a public holiday and being the last calendar day of October, I reckon that depositing fund to eSaver account on 31 Oct will not earn interest for that day. Can anyone who has the same situation in the past confirm this?
deposit on 30 Oct

Yes, I think SC excludes Sundays and public holidays.

In fact, SC is particularly vindictive in that they'll also clawback bonus interest from withdrawals done on Sundays and public holidays.
From my past transactions, Sunday and PH still earns interest. However, I recalled someone shared that no interest is paid if it coincides with last day of the calendar month. Just trying to confirm this with anyone who has the experience. Anyway, interesting to know that SCB even claw back interest.

yes I also received interest on public holiday. But the reason was funny, I transferred in just to pay for the scb card which was due.

But the actual deduction only occured next day. I didn't get charged late payment and even received some interest lol

Deposit the fund on 31 Oct (public holiday) or on Sunday, SC will value date as 01 Nov 2024 or next working day

What’s ur average daily balance and the balance in sept month and 30th sept respectively?
If both are low and significantly below $100K, you can still earn 3.35% interest this month from the public promo which starts from Oct to Nov.
If the latter is low, you need to ensure 31st Oct balance is $100k more than 30th sep balance to earn 3.35%, 3.4% and 3.5% on the incremental eligible balance in the months of Oct, Nov and Dec.
However, if one has a high sept average daily balance and does not have any intention to keep incremental eligible balance for the next 2 months, I dun see how by having $100k above sept 30 on 31st Oct will benefit. (Unless u wanna have a safety net in case u have more money to meet the incremental eligible balance for nov and/or Dec)

But then if no confirmation by 31st Oct then still deposit?
31Oct is public holiday. Any fund transfer into your E$aver a/c specifically to meet the Marathon promo 31Oct eligibility – this transfer must be done by 30 Oct.
If you have already submit online registration but have not received formal confirmation from the bank, I suggest you contact the bank immediately now (this morning 29 Oct) to clarify your doubts.

When one submits the registration for Marathon Saver, there is a unique number generated to acknowledge your registration. Did you screenshot this?

Also there is a concurrent eSaver promo for Oct and Nov, even if Marathon Saver is not successful. So best to deposit early to qualify pending your clarification with SCB on Marathon Saver. A no regret move for consideration.

is it only fresh funds from other banks that would be considered for the calculation of bonus? i have some fresh funds from other banks to meet the criteria but also another sum which was from my fixed deposit due with the bank (another scb account).
