Yah lah. I'm only informing you how their date recognition system works. You look at your E-saver statement, see the transaction description got put what I said eariler on or not - "value date as of 31 October". If got, u print screen that and talk to your RM nicely see can cham xiong or not loh.
think RM cant do much one . they are just glorified salespersons.

Let me clarify a common misconception - in contrary to what many think, SC values on Sun and PHs. Their app doesn't show this, but you can verify this using their Internet Banking. The exception is when the last day of a calendar month falls on a Sun or PH as stated in their bonus T&Cs.

Interesting. I looked through mine for past 5 months, and none fell on Sundays.

Not true lah. Im looking at my E-saver Feb statement right now. I made a paynow withdrawal from my E-saver to POSB acct on 4th Feb (Sunday) and the sum of money was transferred to my POSB account on 4th Feb. But in my E-saver statement, the date of transaction is still +1 on 5th Feb except like I said earlier, in the transaction description its stated that the value date is as of 4th Feb.

"value date is as of 4th Feb" - isn't this exactly what I'm referring to?

Yah but that only appears in the transaction DESCRIPTION. In the date column its still +1 day, so if the promotion cut off date is based on the date column where the transaction is reflected, then whoever transferred on 31st Oct (a public hol) would have disqualified for the promo.

I believe it's usually the posted date that matters, not the transaction date or value date.

so far all the tnc's for banks I come across are based on posted date.

anyways, I always avoid such grey areas by not doing any transfers during PH/Sun.. it's not worth the anxiety.

Already stated - "The exception is when the last day of a calendar month falls on a Sun or PH as stated in their bonus T&Cs."

The way I interpret the Oct Marathon promo, there isn't anything wrong with the promotion period from 1st to 31st Oct -

1. Clause 2b - you can register for the promo between 1st and 31st Oct (both dates inclusive). Some register on 31st Oct and it is shown that the registration was successful

2. Clause 2c - you must deposit fresh funds into yr registered account such that the deposit balance on 31st Oct is at least $100,000 higher than deposit balance on 30th Sep. You can always deposit between 1st Oct and 30th Oct and register on 31st Oct and you will still be eligible for the BI for month of Oct. If you have deposited early, you will qualify this clause

3. Clause 10 would have warned participants not to make last minute deposits - "For avoidance of doubt. any deposit , withdrawal or otherwise transaction in relation ....... the last day of the calendar month falling on either a Sunday, public holiday or a bank holiday will not be taken into consideration for the purpose of computation of BI" .... Oct 31 Diwali holiday is one such day

There is no posting date concept for deposit account, it's usually value date.

Let's say I withdraw 10k on Sunday and the recorded date will be the next day i.e. Monday.
Is it true that I can still earn interest on the 10k for Sunday since the transaction is dated Monday?

Value date is Sunday. So no interest is paid on Sunday when you withdraw the money.

I thought many of you say no need to keep after 1st of Nov since it just needs to be 100k more for Oct to qualify for marathon bonus
anyone move out yet?
