If U join Nov'24-Jan'25 category, think your ADB comparison will ALWAYS be October '24 for the entire Nov'24-Jan'25 period, unless U have ITCHY FINGERS and sign up also for subsequent promo which is in bank interest to approve but likely your disadvantage as a result.

Me thinks SCB is just trying to 'scam' the rich but senile old folks or those with itchy fingers.

If U signed up for the starting October one then again for the starting December one, not only is your December interest lower then any of the October series bonus interest, U r likely to have high ADB for November which will all be discounted for purposes of rewarding December bonus interest.
Like say your ADB for Sept'24 is zero, U signed up for October and put $1 million on 1st October '24, your December bonus interest @3.45% should be ~$2875 if U didn't make any subsequent esaver account transaction at all.

Suppose U have itchy fingers and sign up for either Nov or December marathon series, then, regardless of how much U increase your deposit, U still lose at least $2875 bonus interest for December, than had U not signed up for a new promo, and only find out much later cos the bonus interest is only paid out later; (not even counting the fact that subsequent promos were of lower bonus interest).

Then again, $2875 is loose change for someone with $1m but enuff to pay a junior intern at bank just by senior management creating financial tricks to mislead those who are old, senile, don't read T&C or just not digital savvy.

are you referring to $16 which is credited on 30 Nov 2024 is the base interest. Bonus interest will only be credited around 6th Dec 2024

The base interest is 0.05%. Wait for the bonus interest to be credited later in this month. $16ish is correct for the amount $400K you mentioned.

Had to personally go counter at branch to settle
And it was only a few K

Not sure about bro tiertime, what happened to my hub and i was that they locked our access to the account, then they said they will call back.. but they called back like 2am with some suspicious looking numbers - who will pick up??? then have to keep calling them... then same thing they said they will call back, then either never call back or call back at unearthly hours... took us at least 2 days to settle, perhaps going to branch is faster

Iirc, I only transferred 2k, but it was to a newly added bank account OF MY OWN NAME same as Stand chart, and still kenna lol

The bank might have experienced recurring issues or patterns like these from other customers to add it to their aml flagging system

The accounts that u transfer to already under your payee lists?
Because bank will not know whether the receiving account is under yr name.

recently i added one new payee and i pre-alarmed scb that im going to transfer money so that they will not suspend or block it.

Ya you can put any name you want for payee. It doesn’t have to match the receiving bank’s records to go through
