It’s likely she won’t see much of an improvement on any mvno.

Hi Giga users, is there anyone having issues with Giga payment? I received an email that payment did not go through - it's done by card which is also used to pay other lines as well.

Contacted the Giga helpdesk but they couldn't help beyond telling me to use a valid payment method - does Giga not accept debit/credit cards anymore?

Sorry for not being very tech savvy - just an uncle trying to figure things out.

Never once have any issue with my monthly payment using credit card

Been using GIGA for several months previously, no problem with using CC to settle my monthly payments.
Then ported out to another telco and recently ported back to GIGA, also no issues with payment using CC.

I searched online and found some users also having this issue with Giga payments back in 2021 - the payments would not go through and the lines got suspended.

If it's not too sensitive, are you all using Visa or Mastercard? Wondering if it's a card issue, but other transactions are going through just fine, card is not expired, and no such issue previously.

Initially I was using Visa, then when renewal of cc, I acceded to the bank request to change to MC, hence now I am paying with MC. No payment issues encountered thus far.

I am so done with Giga. On the usual MRT route and it's getting slower and slower past few months. I'm finally porting out of here. Good riddance.

I have been actively reporting slow speed according to their guidelines and the only reply I get is "We're working on it"

They don't seem to care...

Was it tested during peak hour in a crowded train? Usually MVNO will have lower priority compared to telco direct. So speed throttling will occur when there’s congestion.

Same goes for Singtel MVNOs during peak hour it will throttle significantly until below 1 Mbps (based on my experience with GOMO/Zero1/Zym).

yeah, during commute to work on the train. during peak hour is mainly the time I use my mobile phone to watch youtube or surf the net. It's impossibly slow and frustrating.

I was travelling onboard NSL from AMK to Dhoby Ghaut at around 10 plus in the morning yesterday.
Coincidentally I was doing a cell signal test inside the train with an app, Network Cell Info.
Testing on 2 MVNO and 1 telco, GIGA is one of them which is my current primary line.
No signal loss for GIGA at that time along the way, which shows good signal reception continuously.
