Volte doesn't show up in the giga network but m1 max does on the huawei phone, and since I've used m1 maxx before and am unwilling to change phone I've decided to change telco instead

then that confirms starhub network does not want to support Huawei p40pro. tks for the update/confirmation.

All telcos should simply update their list and include as many as past and present models support. By not doing so, they may lose the customers who prefer not to upgrade their devices, especially tablet phones/devices which hardly need upgrade mostly.

they should, but since they are not held to any rules from the regulator, they won't.

"Business friendly environment"

i have a worse experience, but since the telco is not Starhub nor Giga, I might tell the story in the relevant thread at an appropriate time.

Fat hope since SG is known to be business friendly.
We can only whine and groan as always.

Thank you. Oh no..if my ohone doesnt support volte, means i cannot make / receive voices call on giga line?

Your handphone may support VoLTE, but the telco may choose not to support it.
broadly, 2 choices:
a. if you want to keep your phone, look for a telco that supports it (but this is not a guaranteed long term solution as they may withdraw suport in the future), or,
b. if you want to stay on Giga or Starhub network, use a phone that they support (used or new).

In the coming months, proactive measures will be taken to communicate the transition to 3G users and extend assistance to those who need help migrating.
  • For customers who are on 3G-only or early release 4G handsets1 , a wide range of 4G and 5G handsets are available at different price points to enable customers to migrate to newer networks conveniently.

Plenty of urgings and offers to sell you a handset or upgrade to 5G plans

sorry I think off topic but would appreciate your advice..if I get a 5G phone, can I still use my 4G giga line by turning on voLTE? or I must change to 5G plan?

Not able to receive call and make a call since yesterday.
Saw Giga FB, seem like it start 2 days back.

Does anyone face this issue.
Giga didn't response on Live chat and FB on this.

Data is okay.
it's VOLTE issue,

my aunties 3 lines also cannot call in/out....but data ok.

they are using 7-8 years old phones...no VOLTE.

but i inserted their sim card into my Magic V3, can call in/out. then back to their phone, cannot again.
