Now Viewquest is gone but NewMediaExpress is back together with Starhub.

BTW, how's video playing from youku.com & tudou.com? Smooth or kept buffering?

I want to use my routers as the VPN client. This way, devices like PS3 can also get onto the VPN and you can control which device gets onto the VPN :)

Not smooth, always buffering on youku.com & tudou.com
And can't stream videos/movies at all on funshion.. :(

Called up SH and the CSO kept telling me all the ******** stuff like cannot trust the speedtest results. I say why cannot trust, this is 3rd-party global website whereby millions of people test everyday. They say they only take their own speedtest results on their website. What ********!

I angry and told him last time when I was with SH cable plan, I never even need to check all these sort of speedtest stuff. I have no problem accessing these China sites throughout all these years using cable (more than 10 years). But since changing from cable (my last cable plan was 25Mbps) to fibre 100Mbps, it was supposed to be an upgrade of speed and performance, but I encounter more nightmares and the internet connection has becomes worse! The number of times I called up their hotline to complaint since I install fibre (less than 3 months) is more than those years when I am using cable (more than 10 years). Even my ipad when using 3G has better connection to these China sites as compare to wifi.

Seems like their fibre more problem then cable ...

Most probably because the tests by SamKnows don't include China servers, so ISP here just concentrate on the bandwidth to US & UK in order to make their charts look good !

SH just installed my fibre today. Need to check with fellow bros if they're giving me the right devices. I've been given Hwawei Echo Life HG8240 (black)+ DIR865, but I thought the ONT used to be the white colour HG863? Is it because of my digital voice? The SH techie said mine is direct ONT already (w/o me requesting for it).

now all 865 one is direct ont , good what can change router if want

That's certainly very true! Just curious of my black ONT vs the white one. Scared the SH techie smoked me saying this is a newer version... but I checked online it has been around for quite awhile too. Haha..:s13:

The black one is the newer version. should be better than the white one.

I wanted to swap but open net refuse to let me swap to black one. :(

do the black one allow you to connect your cordless phone directly?
