Ya! In fact, for wifi, the 200mbps fibre package is good enough but this package only give a single DL router.

Therefore, the next best thing is the 500mbps package which comes with 2 separate DL routers. One for fibre in living hall and the other will be installed in my room for the 100mpbs Cable broadband for wired connection to my pc, TV, and Android TV box lor.

I just checked with StarHub. There is no more 2nd router for the Cable 100mbps now. Starhub says I can purchase the 2nd router DL 868 for $120

So, Is the DL868 router is okay and good to purchase for WIRED Connection (Don't talk about wireless connection) as my 2nd router to be installed in my room for the 100mbps Cable Broadband?

There is only one router provided for the Fibre point now. No more 2nd router for the 100mbps Cable point.

So, I'm purchasing an additional router to be installed in my room for the 100mbps Cable point which will be solely used for wired connection to all my staffs in my room.

The rest of the family members will be using the Fibre 500mbps wifi connection.

Settled and happy!

For this plan, though SH will give a FREE Voice-enabled Cable Modem use for 100Mbps cable broadband.

Yap! My existing router is ageing and problematic for few months already.

As for the voice enabled cable modem, it has to be installed in the living hall where the Fibre point is for everyone in the family to use the digital voice calling.

Therefore, I have no choice but to purchase a new router for my Cable point in my room bah!

Heard some bro said SH had a newer VeONT which can use for digital voice, may be you can ask them do a upgrade for your old one.

They do. But for my case, they refused to change it.

Thats 1 of the reason Why i boycotted starhub

Erm, try changing your ddns to googledns in your router wan

Can. The equipment will still be installed but you tell them don't want the digital voice. StarHub will unscribe it for you. Else, you need to pay $2.10 per month for it.

Ido not quite understand this.

The ONT is a Ve-ONT. Whether you like it or not it is still required to be there for your fibre connection whether you subscribed to voice or not
