What router are you using and are you using starhub default DNS or google public DNS?
Its does makes a difference in terms of IP address resolution.

Does your place comes with the fiber termination point?
Why not consider 1GBPS fiber plan which cost $49.90 per month.

Currently on SH fibre 200mbps and contract has ended.

Looking at the Homehub 1GBPS as my family has heavy consumption in streaming. Plus its good value with the Sitex 6mth free promo.

Also, would like some opinions on the router. For the 200mbps I opted to use my own router which is Asus N56U.
May I ask for Homehub should I use their DIR-868L or continue using my N56U? I know based on theoretical internet speeds, 868L is better since it supports up to 1750mbps and also AC as well. But based on signal range will it be better with its beamforming?

Thanks in advance!

I am using both dir868l and another N router at home connected to data points to boost coverage. Can rly feel the difference that 868 is much more powerful than the other older router.

Anyone getting high latency (500+ms) to USA IPs today and yesterday?

I had very high pings yesterday night, went back to normal later on and then it is high again tonight.

You are not alone.

Having abnormally high pings connecting to US/EU servers starting from yesterday. Seemingly all on fibre are affected.

Same here. Was watching Netflix, VPN kept dropping.

Seems like a transatlantic issue.

Latency is back to normal now. However it was the same yesterday, things sent back to normal later on but only to come back again today. Hopefully no issue tomorrow.

To be honest, sounds quite ironic. It starts lagging when US hits the night or graveyard hours.

Then it starts getting better when they wake up... They provision more bandwidth to their speedtest demo laptops at sitex so thry can oversell is it ? :s13:
