The Dlink routers that they continue to give out with re-contracts are just pure junks. Just imagine my old N66U and TP-Link 3600 had better wifi range and were more reliable than the AC routers that they are giving out now.

For me these speedtest numbers are not too much of a concern. My main concerns are their poor latency and spikes as well as intermittent disconnections on and off. They definitely have some heavy traffic shaping in place, so gamers and heavy video streaming users should really just avoid starfug altogether. Truth is speedtest numbers are just numbers based on local traffic, the real world latency and user experience is much worse in reality.

If the upload speed is a major concern then just give them a call, its their job to fix it. My up and dl are around the same numbers.

Where can I buy the optical fibre cable that's used? I kinda want a shorter cable than the 3m that's provided. :o

Sim Lim has. Think start from 2 meter. Has a spare 24 meter brand new one . PM if interested.

Shortest, I had seen personally is 1m. There might be shops selling even shorter, need to hunt ard the mall.

No, wrong connector. It must be SC/APC - SC-APC on both ends. A.k.a. the green connector.

This is why you cannot use the blue one.

Hi guys, i recently upgraded to Maxinfinity 1gb plan, previously was 200mbps.

I did a speedtest on starhub's website and I can get speeds of 930mbps.

However when i test on speedtest.net, its only up to 100+ mbps when i choose Starhub mobile server. Any idea why? Im on direct lan connection, using Dlink 868.

Try SingTel or PT. XL Axiata, Tbk server, Starhub Mobile server not reliable. I'm getting average 943Mbps on ST & PT daily.

Hi, I have been a long time starhub member and currently on their 1gbps fiber optics plan. Anyone have any experience if they allow another 1gbps fiber optics plan on the another port ? So, basically if they allows 2 fiber optics services under 1 account ?

Why do u want to have another line from the same provider ? If SH is down, both lines will be down.

If they do allow, I think likely they will activate another port on the ONT.

Starhub cannot even do a simple thing like delivering a router to me. No missed call on my mobile although the CSO said the technician tried to contact me this morning to deliver the item. Probably failed to connect to my number and to him this is called trying. And the tone of the CSO and Sup is like it is my fault.

Super pissed...
