Hi, i've lost Nucleus Connect ONT modem when shifting house and next week starhub will reactivate the fibre at my new place.
Will any used ONT modem work if i buy online? Or does it have to be the same brand/the one registered to my account that will only work?

There is no sale on ONT available in Singapore.
ONT is provided and preset by ISP(s) themselves.
You have to report and pay for the cost.
Even if you can get one, it cannot be used.
Just like modem, the serial number is locked to the subscriber, location and plan.

You have to also pay for re-allocation cost $100+ depend on ISP(s).
Do check with them on all this arrangements which may take some days.

So what are the offers? I noticed there is no longer home hub 200 rite? Minimum have to upgrade to home hub 500 rite?

Starhub has three (3) types of bundles:

(1) HomeHub Go: Mobile + Broadband + TV
(2) HomeHub: Broadband + TV
(3) SurfHub: Mobile + Broadband

For (1) HomeHub Go, see this link:
http://www.starhub.com/personal/bundles/homehub-go.html

For (2) HomeHub, see this link:
http://www.starhub.com/personal/bundles/homehub.html

Current promotions for either type (1) or (2):
http://www.starhub.com/personal/store/homehub.html

For (3) SurfHub, see this link:
http://www.starhub.com/personal/bundles/surfhub.html

**
If you just want Starhub Internet only (no bundle), you can choose:

(a) Cable only Internet -- promo link HERE:
http://www.starhub.com/personal/promotions/200-mbps-cable-broadband.html

(b) Fibre only Internet
http://www.starhub.com/personal/for-your-home/home-broadband/fibre-broadband-plans.html

Current promo for fibre only Internet:
http://www.starhub.com/personal/promotions/unbeatable-home-broadband-deals.html

(c) Dual Broadband (Fibre + Cable) Internet -- promo link HERE:
http://www.starhub.com/personal/promotions/dual-broadband.html

**
You can also see/refer to Starhub brochures during CEE 2017 show at the beginning of this month (Jun):
http://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/cee/brochures/starhub/

(some info in above CEE 2017 brochures may be outdated / no longer valid)

**
ALL (currrent) Starhub promotions can be found at this link:
http://www.starhub.com/personal/promotions.html

Except for cable only Internet (200Mbps), promotions that has (or includes) fibre Internet seems to be mostly 1Gbps fibre.

You can just not recontract yet and may still pay the same cost.
You can wait for them to contact you and/or send mailer offer to you.
Alternately you can contact the sales hotline 1630 and/or write to Starhub facebook to enquire on your recontract and what would they offer.
As they may check your records then may consider some offer not listed in promotions and/or websites.

If there is no change in price after contract expiry, then wait for upcoming events for better offer.
Just need to push them a bit to see if they can give you better offer, saying going to other ISP(s).

Regards.

Honestly the best promotion will be during their major fair. Most ISP will not offer special promotion for an individual alone, just to be fair to other users. Unless he is very lucky.

Indeed I did received an offer on HomeHub 1000 at $49.90 with free TV subscription.
At least 3 sales contacted me and mailer offer sent to me.
But most probably I am using their services for decades, as the sales did mentioned about my record as told by marketing dept to contact me.

Regards.

hi all, just to check if any of you experience the following with your SH fibre connections

I currently have a 1gbps fibre bb plan with SH. once in awhile, my dad will do a speedtest via the official SH site and notice that the max speed is only 100+mbps. after doing a powercycle of the router, the speed will be back up to 700+mbps. We usually leave the router on 24/7, so not sure if that affects. Any of you experience this as well and any idea how to prevent the drop?

Nope. Also on 1Gbps and also leave it 24/7 for ONT, main Router, hub & router.
Daily Starhuh Local speed test is 600+ to 800+ Mbps without any drop at all.

1. First do a RESET on the router, and then monitor.

2. For DLink DIR-868L do update firmware to 1.09SHC.

3. When still the same after doing points 1 & 2 still not resolved there is 3rd option. tba.

But most probably yours could be resolved by Reset the router.

SH can not get 850 to 950Mbps? If use fibre Tv then either ST or SH, no other provider.

Actually I am satisfied with these speed 600 - 800Mbps as long as it is stable.
Even speedtest show 900+Mbps but in actual surf it make no different.

True because most websites can not support 900+ for a single file download. Most of the time my actual download speed is 200+ to 400+ for a single download.
