How much it cost for total of 4 boxes? $48 for the 4 HD Tv box without recording. I only have 2 boxes. 1 Tv using digital antenna for free to air. Chromecast also has legal sources like Toggle etc.
Cable HD Set top boxes are not cheap and limited.
Like you mentioned the 2nd box onward is slightly more like $17 iirc.
IPTV is HD format.

Edit:
The additional cost For cable is likely the extra connections and settings are required.
As every connection is cost n manhour required.
IPTV is digital.

User can actually use their own router on Starhub. Just need to inform Starhub that you want to use your own router.
Please don't spread misinformation, StarHub doesn't do VLAN tagging on their ONT, and as such you don't even have to inform them. Just plug in your own router.

No VLAN but i just tell them so that they do not need to set up the router for me. I am usually not around.

For installation it is fine.
But ensure no problem else they may charge for 3rd party installation cost if it cannot work which need troubleshooting.

Quite happy with Starhub and renewed my contract with them.
I even got the new EA7500 V2 Router from them and did some tests.
Definitely an upgrade from the old DIR-868L and I have much better coverage in my new house.

Did a wired test connection and this is what I got :

Just got on boarded onto starhub 4 days back and the experience so far hasn't been good.
There's an issue of intermittent connection since and i will get disconnections a couple of times a day. Called up their CSO to highlight this issue and it seems to be taking ages for them to fix their backend issue. The other issue I'm also facing is that I'm not getting anything near their claimed 1Gbits speed and my avg speed at the moment on direct connection to the ONT is 548Mbits. Is everyone else facing the same issue during their initial on boarding?

Contact 1633 direct to Broadband tech support line, not cs.
Tech team is 24/7 and will able to directly assist you.
They able to see your connection is any error at their backend.
Maybe request to refresh your IP as some are not stable.

Speed test via IE should be better as I can achieved >900mbps.
While Chrome is around 600mbps.
Most likely Chrome is rely to heavy on resource.

I switched from VQ to HomeHub Go 1000 in mid October and has not has any issues on connectivity. Neither I really experienced any "outages" like the many mentioned while on VQ perhaps I am not online throughout to experience it.

Many things can slow you down. Did you check that there is nothing wrong with your computer? Is your computer infected by virus? Is your antivirus slowing you down? Are you using an old computer? NIC driver updated? Many things to check.

Seemless transition. Just that I signed up via one of those door-to-door sales guy whom just want to get the contract signed up and get his commission not bother to give me any good advise. Perhaps some of the "flows" he might not be sure but he could do extra by helping to ask and revert but No. He went on vacation. When he was back, he simply act blur made me wasted a trip down to Starhub Customer Service at next (luckily I only queued for 30 minutes) and get wrong info too.

To open TP Port 2 depend on your location.
Some may take about 2 months or more.
So it is advicable to do it early.
Minumum period is 2 weeks to get NetLink Trust appt.

Another separate appts by ISP;
1) ISP installer if required
2) ISP technician to setup ONT & Router, and activation, ensure the connection speed is your plan, etc.

In other word, TP 2nd port is depend as if your location do have many opt for 2 ISP.

Whereas ISP part do not have any issue.
