hmm when i enabled dhcp it worked, but then suddenly my lan connections got disconnected. then i had to restart my router, now my router wifi+lan connections keep getting dc after 15 mins or so.

i disabled dhcp of huawei, its still happening. could it be coz of huawei or my router?

another question.. can engenius 9850 get close to max wireless speed for Maxinfinity premium connection (50 Mbps)? thinking of a new router to buy, not sure which one to get.

Could be your router up lorry already...

Yes esr9850 can get 50mbps easily.

Sorry to dissappoint you but i merely mouseover-ed the link to know where it led to, not click it. But I do understand how you might be academically challenged to assume so.

And congratulations for identifying your own mental state lol. Since you can't intellectually spot whats wrong with my post and arrived to an absurd hypothesis, maybe you should seek help =(

My wireless transfer for torrent can only hit 2-3mbps max at peak hours. Is this normal?

Just switched to Maxinfinity premium 50 mbps plan. Installation went rather more smoothly than I thought. Router is a HG256s. Tested the wireless connection speed on my PC w/win 7 IE9 and got very respectable and consistent results. Same with my son's PC in his room.

If I test it on my same PC but booting into Ubuntu OS, I get a lower approx 34 mbps download speed.

Using Apple Macbook /Mac OS X, I get about 25 mbps download speed, but with a Fujitsu duo core notebook w/Win 7 pro, I get 48 mbps DL speed. All tested on wireless connection.

I thought starhub start deploying the new dlink gateway? I suppose yours is Hua Wei?

Thanks. Hope the dlink is performing and save my wallet in investing a new router. I am now waiting patiently till my installation which scheduled on 7th Jan 2012. :s22:

Both are reforming. Besides, even if you want to, it is not possible to replace the RG unless you figure out the RSP specific connection parameters.

huh ? i am lazy on the link but my DVG-N5402SP works well on wireless...

all i did was manually keyed-it-in the SSID Password

Haa you just need to see the is there a button on the D-Link router with WPS word or under the admin page with WPS feature
