Hi,

Starhub Fibre Elite installed Saturday 12thMay about 6:30pm

Same setup as you TP - HG863 - DVG-N5402SP

I too was told to need to wait 48 hours, leds on HG863 all green, but noDHCP yet.

Does your speedtest tell us your fibre is totally working now, was it all of 48 hours and did they call your handphone?

Sunday 1120am still not active here - trying to be patient as this was ordere ages ago....

what do you mean by "no DHCP" yet ?

Did SH manage to solve your issue?

Was supposed to have my Fibre broadband installed on 13 May but last minute the appointment was cancelled off.

How long do you have to wait for Fibre to be activitated by Opennet nowadays?

Can I still change if I had already signed the contract with SH, only pending activation from OpenNet?

Like what you have said, you have signed a contract with them. I doubt StarHub would want to terminate your contract without any termination fees.

I guess so and with other ISP I will still have to wait for OpenNet to activate the fibre connection.:s22:

Anyone using D-Link N5402SP got Android wireless issue can try this settings:

Router webui > Advanced > Advanced Wireless > Advanced > DTIM Interval: 1

instead of 100.

it should solve your issue.

will appreciate if some mods could actually edit this in on post #3 of this thread.

What will this setting help on Android devices?
Will is also effects on iOS devices and Windows wi-fi devices?

Windows wireless device will not have any effects since it is working be it on 100 or 1.

Android users will instantly feels the advantage changing it to 1 instead of 100.

Most routers are on 1 instead of 100 even dlink routers as well but for some reason on this N5402SP - it is configured to 100 as default which causes a number of problems not only on Android but on iPhones as well (from my own experience at home)

the impact:

on 100 - Android users may or may not surf the net properly on their devices. Connection is inconsistent and intermittent on device - you can try to surf around marketplace/play store and will feel the difference

on 1 - such issues (on 100) are a thing in the past.

Been having problem with my android phone since I use maxinfinity and tried all setting on router except the DTIM Interval thingy.

Now with the DTIM set to 1 my phone is back to normal.

Thanks for the great tip...

Virtual server does not forward incoming IP

I setup the virtual server in the D-Link (no Huawei since no voice) to remote access home FTP server. But I noticed the server log shows all remote access IP as "192.168.0.1", which is my router LAN address. So I can't filter visiters by IP. Same for Web server and other servers. Has anybody got this problem? Other than that the virtual server works fine.
