heard from an inside news that StarHub is launching (still on testing stage and negotiating with ASUS on the price) the ASUS RT-66U as a bundle for MaxInfinity users - officially (perhaps with another handicapped firmware but on a beast device).

Meaning StarHub is going the route of direct ONT > own router.

For voice users you can opt for that + 1 voice modem separately.

Thanks... that's good news.

Hopefully that will be the case by the time my cable contract ends October. :o

Then for current or soon to be users of SH fibre, will they ever switch the Dlink for the ASUS? SH coming in 2 weeks' time. I wonder what's the most efficient method to inform friends/relatives of change in house number without using handphone.

I have the Huawei HG256S, would it be possible for me to connect to a vpn?
IP, username and password is being used when I'm connecting from my laptop.
I want the whole internet to point to my vpn, can I do this without adding any device?
If not, what device do I need? Brand and model? Thank you in advance!

alot of ways ma. I no time to play it so never really notice... 1 way is to go wireless 2.4GHz and determine if you have 20, 20/40, 40MHz lo.

Are you able to use the digital voice on your ASUS instead?

since there is already a need for 2 devices...i figured i might as well make my life easier by opting the use of my cable modem to the cable point as Voice.

at least when my router is dead, my voice is still working and vice-versa.

Look at the top, you should see the firmware version displayed clearly, whether padavan or original.

Original is 1.0.x.xy, padavan is 1.x.x.xy-yx where x is a number and y is a letter

Dark layout is N66U, as well as the unreleased beta for N56U by Asus. Padavan will incorporate the dark layout once Asus has released it for N56U officially.

You will not see the word "padavan" anywhere. Other than the above, you also can see the EZQoS (cant remember the exact name) tab on the left has been replaced with VPN Server for padavan.

Not the login window! Click on the link given. Log in using your router login and password, and you will see a page with a box. There is a field for you to key that in and press enter in there. There will not be any prompt.
