Did you configure your router DDNS? From your post you mention NAS already have DDNS. but did not mention if router is setup.

Not sure if my comments help. if i have a similar layout, assuming ddns set up. i would port forward from dlink to wrt and wrt to nas. For me i would have just stuck my nas into the dlink instead.

nope, you only need to setup at just either of the device and not both.

recommended to be on the router though oh and yes, do port forward.

Hi guys, gonna subscribe to Maxinfinity soon and thinking of doing direct connection,

is TP --> ONT --> ROUTER --> 30m Cat6 Cable --> Bedroom PC

same as TP --> 30m cable to bedroom --> ONT --> Router --> Bedroom PC?

Thanks in advance.

i don't have such problem.

On D-Link RG?

I think I quoted wrong post. Was actually referring/supposed to quote Silencer's post.

The problem will not be noticeable for normal surfing, email, etc small burst downloading usage. It is only noticeable on constant long duration connectivity type of traffic.

for instance, downloading of FHD videos? Considered?
