I agree starhub fibre internet is largely stable n fast,im using 100mbps n im very satisfied with it... no need 1gbps..

Most of the case right now is due for re-contract and current offer for 1Gbps plan looks like more 'worth' than 200Mbps; $49.90 vs $39.90.

As for your another question, my DV is okay.

Thanks. Actually I sign package with them so most likely will b getting the homehub 200. U r right on paper it looks more worth it,but wad if u can't get the promised speeds? Tis will lead to frustration n anger. Besides,we dun need so fast speed for daily use, even if u subscribe it,u need a very good router n wireless card to receive such speeds. In my opinion, for general use 200mbps is enuf gd enuf... even my 100mbps is quite fast...

My home fixed line has no problem since installation donkey years ago. It is still running well on my old but reliable cable modem. Still observing the current VeONT set-up for my digital home line.

Anyone has signed up for FibreTV in the meantime?

guys, those on the new 1gbps plan, any slowdown in speed during peak hours?

My cable expiring in 2 weeks time. Now on MR trial, and the "magic hour" thingy is leaving some sour taste in my mouth.

Did a speedtest for the past few days during the MR magic hour.
No problem so far.

This morning just saw my Huawei Wireless Home Gateway up lorry. Power led won't light up. It's the white one given by Starhub, forgot model number.

Should I bring it to Huawei to service (don't think got any warranty) or just get a new router? Can anyone recommend any good ones that can work with my fibre connection? I'm on the maxinfinity 100mbps plan.

Huawei service center is only for retail products like phones. You'll have to call the Starhub hotline and arrange a replacement with Starhub.

Thanks. Do you know if they will replace with the same model or I can ask for a different one? Do they have any that is better than my current one?
