Please pardon me, not IT inclined here. Will Nokia XS-2426X-A ONR (AX5400) + TPlink HB710 give me better WIFI experience than Nokia XS-2426X-A ONR (AX5400) + asus 82u?

I have one asus 82U laying around collecting dust.
The HB710 is WIFI7, has 10Gbps WAN/Lan ports, faster WIFI than the Asus.

If you have WIFI7 clients, you will see feel a difference. Otherwise, not much difference if only WIFI5/6 devices,

You can use the Asus first.

Next time then buy the HB710 when you want to upgrade.

The HB710 offer should still be around or may be even cheaper.

I have just signed the Homehub ultra sport - ONT with EB810V through Selina last week.
Only 1 router and would like to see if this can cover the full house. If not then buy another one later from starhub. (Original idea is EB810V, if not able to cover full house, buy another HB710)
My use case do not really need Ethernet port but mainly wireless, ethernet port is connect to TV if nearby only.
I saw some post earlier mention HB710 is sufficient. Do you able to advise the signal coverage between EB810v vs HB710. Now wondering if HB710 i should change it to HB710 to save a bit of money or HB710x2 (when 1 does not able to cover full house).

*not sure why, it seem i can't attach picture to show the layout, only can post link.

Fyi, i sign up with Selina via whatsapp only without call. Just clarify my doubt with her via whatsapp and proceed to sign. Thanks to this forum.

I try not to pay for devices at the moment because they are the ones that cost

That's why at first I ask for ONR but since the CS dun sell me ONR, then ONT I won't buy any devices also. Continue to use Linksys EA8100
Actually also can use. But long ago they already gave us a free Linksys MX2 when we signed up their 1G plan.

Thanks for the suggestion.
any recommended router?

alternative I can sign up with ONT and purchase a HB710 to replace my Asus router but that would means that my deco M9 plus will not work as HB710 is running on easy mesh.. correct?

Apologize, just throwing idea to see which options is the cheapest to go for.
Can use wired connection the the deco M9? You are living in landed house?
Better to share the floor plan here as we have some very good in such mesh thing here who can advise you.

not sure why i can't post picture and i cant post link as well.
- not sure how to describe with text. LOL. but should be typical 4room flat with Bedroom3, bedroom2 form a corridor to reach main bedroom in the end. Bomb shelter in the middle of the house, opp bedroom3.
- older HDB (12+ years) without DB box with Ethernet connection many mention now.

- my current router is placed at the corner of the bedroom3 and living room, very close to the corridor. is just beside the bedroom3 that wall, near it corner. (currently is using singtel mesh, 2nd mesh router inside main bedroom

Then Just put the router near the centre of the home and at a higher position a single router should do the job. The most add an extra router 710 but unlikely. My 4 room whole house 1 Nokia ONR already can cover. Unless your router location no good and the router is at low position.

Weird, I thought the Asus ax82u wifi speed will be faster than the Nokia beacon 2. But I am wrong, I set the Asus as AP.

And here is the result from speed test, sit just beside Asus, dl speed is 170mbps, upload is 100mbps.

Inside master room with door closed, and distance is the farest away from the AP. The Dl speed 32mbps, the upload is 16.6mbps.

Result from Nokia beacon 2, near to it, dl speed 470mbps, upload is 545mbps.

In master rm closed door, so dl speed is 346mbps and upload is 297mbps

Can use Asus as main router and Beacon 2 as wired AP.

This ASUS must switch to 160 Mhz then it will be faster and get 1500mbps on wifi 6 laptop.
