No.. That's the total I've paid so far, every month the fee is around $8 ~ $9.
So in 2 years+ I've paid a total of $283 in fees.

In the monthly statements
Ah, sorry, saw the year wrongly haha. 8 to 9 bucks per month is quite okay I guess.

Actually all investment got fees lar. If no fees the company how to feed employees every month? Only difference is how obvious it is. E.g for mutual fund before they release NAV already deduct their fees so as customer you never see pay extra fees but actually paid indirectly.

For anyone curious, total management fee i paid to SA.
Aug-2021 to Dec-2023$ 283.44
Started to incur fee after Aug 2021 when i run out of free management fee.

Just to share my current portfolio, only DCA $300-$400 every month.

Nice.. this is a great example of DCA even when performance is negative.

Let me share some feedback from my experience here.
Had invested in Stashaway starting Aug-2020 till Jun-2021 and let it run.
Overall almost 3k SGD in 36 risk factor portfolio - high risk, potentially high reward.

Till date SA shows profit of about SGD 220
Fees paid till now about SGD 70 (almost SGD 2/mth).

For comparison, I converted the SGD amounts I deposited to USD (on those dates).
Calculated approx how much SPY I could have bought using that amount - say using IBKR etc.
That comes to be about USD 1880 during the same time period.
Current value of those SPY units (about 6 units) would be about 3200 USD
Minus transaction fees for 6 times - less that USD 10.
Profit comes around (3200-1880) = USD 1320
Convert to about SGD 1750.

Summary -
Stashaway - Profits SGD 220 ; Fees SGD 70
SPY - Profits SGD 1750; Fees SGD 10-15

Experiment successfully failed.

If you don't go for fractional shares that is correct. What SA offer is say SGD 1 can buy in liao. Of cuz if upfront you got capital you should buy direct yourself. I also stop SA once Webull and moomoo appear and start offering fractional shares.

And also auto DCA every trading day. I auto deposit S$1 everyday to experiment but I don't use their risk portfolio, I customise portfolio using the world ETFs, DJIA, S&P 500 and NDAQ ETFs. 1 year later see what's the result.

To me world ETF is basically US ETF becuz all the major holdings in world ETF are US. Hence having both world and US ETF is duplicate IMHO. I have given up world ETF and craft my own.

A few months ago I accidentally pressed on a prompt to join their virtual webinar and was shocked I am the only person :ROFLMAO: Not sure if they still run such webinar. Used to watch a few by Freddy years ago but seems like they quietly fired him. I already withdrew everything but am surprised there are still people putting money with them.

Their Cash+ Guaranteed is good. They create a lot of products.

I made > $10K investments each in 3 popular SG robo-advisors since 2H2020 and let's called them E, S1, S2 (obvious, right?). After the stock market storm in 2H2021 till end 2023, the US market finally recovered in 2024. However, by end Q12024, my E core portfolio return +15%-20% while S1 is still at -10%. I decided to cut losses and transferred all S1 to E (right move looking back). For S2, I sold everything and use the proceeds to buy SG REIT myself instead of paying them monthly fees for semi-annual rebalancing. I also dislike their allocation into certain REIT that lower my dividend payout substantially, Another right move.

Lesson learnt is when stock market is booming, every robo-advisors look like a winner... Only tough times will show how effective is their investment approach and choice of instruments.

Not sure how old you are or how long in investing. My era is mutual fund, stocks way before ETF and robo-advisors appear in last decade? Your observation is also true for mutual fund. I believe since mutual fund and ETF are basically stocks investment underlying the observation should be same.

I am not comparing ETF vs mutual funds or passive vs active investing.. All the robo-advisors (RAs) out there use these instruments + their "special" investment strategy to help clients reach their financial goals. E.g. some RAs mix S&P ETF + US Treasury + Gold to mitigate risk while others may heavy weight on US stocks ETF then rebalance on emerging market etc. My experience with the RAs showed which one works better for me in a volatile market like 2021-2023. Perhaps, if I hold for another 5-10 years, all my RAs investment would have made profit. In my case, I simply chose to cut losses and focus on the RA that works best for me and suit my investment style :)

I am planning to say goodbye with StashAway this week.

I put my SRS fund with them on high risk portfolio, never see a positive since my first deposit. Few years past and suddenly it shows positive I quickly sell it and put in their Simple Guaranteed for 6 months. But I still don't feel comfortable with them since it's not SDIC insured.

I will transfer back the fund to my SRS account and manage it myself.

StashAway BlackRock portfolio performance decent as compared to syfe100. However, Endowus performance best so far

Does SA Guaranteed also charge management fee? Syfe Cash+ doesn't.
I have both. SA Simple Guaranteed and Syfe Cash+ Guaranteed all no charge fees. But their rates follow the rest are dropping. In fact everywhere also dropping.

Do StashAway deposit and withdrawal take times?
