First DeadLift
I was doing my shoulder work out today when I spotted the olympic bar on the floor in front of the squat rack...
Thought I would give deadlift a go since I have never tried nor done it before and I should conquer my fear of my lower back problem.
Man... It was a pain trying to get the plates on when the bar is on the floor.
I started with 2 plates x 2 rep as a test : 60.8kg x 2 rep. Felt fine... so I was contemplating about adding more weights then thought I save the trouble of gradually adding weights.
So I STRUGGLED to slot on another 2 plates, nearly sandwiching my fingers in the process
And I did 3 reps this time for a total of 101.6kg x 3 Reps, Max RM : 108kg
Honestly I am quite pleased with the results as this is my first time doing it.
But I do think I was a little rash without adding weights gradually like what I did for my bench. I could have busted my L4 and L5 slipped discs, especially I was not even wearing a belt to limit my lumbar movement
Next aim: Squats
Oh and my BW today is 116.8kg
