Hi, I just joined this forum and am a relative newbie to strength training. Been training for the past 10 months and my current stats are as follow:

BW: 77kg
Bench: 80kg 3RM
DL: 130kg 1RM
Squat: 140 5RM
Press: 50kg 4RM
Bent Row: 95kg 5RM
* I don't test 1RMs since my training partner's my girlfriend. and she can't save my ass should I fail a lift

Hope to learn more from this place since this seems like one of the rare few active forums on strength training around.

Btw any of you guys frequent Tampines clubfitt? Would be nice to meet up serious lifters from here if possible :)

U can use the online calculator which is on the first page of this thread to find out ur 1RM.

Haha its ok I personally dont trust those calculators much. Just cos some formula says you can lift it doesn't mean you actually can. And its damn pointless to state numbers which I haven't achieved yet in my view. Thanks for your input though.

or go to a gym with a power rack, and used the safety bars/pins..
but squats you'd just have to drop it if you can't do it.

Nice squat numbers.

I'll do the calculation for you this time.

Weird that your squat is stronger than your deadlift. Are you sure you're squatting ATG? Or, how tall are you?

I'm 1.76m tall. My squat's been consistently stronger than my DL since day 1 of training too. Its not ATG but past parellel though.

Well, no wonder then. The list is for ATG squats. You really should be doing ATG squats unless you have some problem that stops you from doing it :)

Oh sorry my mistake in that. ATG would be 120kg then, for 3RM. Paiseh about the mix up :look:

Wow, that's a huge difference. Interesting...I thought the difference would be less.
