Went to Fat Cow right at noon to try their set lunch + Wagyu set... kinda regret i didnt order A4 or the leaner cut because by the time the Wagyu came (3/4 into finishing my donburi), it was super fattening and gelate that i had to stop and dabao home. All in all very good experience. The donburi is out of the
world

Actually I found Fat Cow ok only. Had the set lunch as well.

How much is it?

went culina at dempsey last month for my wife's birthday.

ambiance and food was good.
can choose our steaks, as we dont know much on our meat.
We just go with the price tag, grab 2 piece around 700g in total.
and there was a cooking charges of $15 per steak..

ordered some finger bites, greens, all in all.
paid around $160 for 2.

I've been buying my cuts from Foodie Market Place at Tiong Bahru.

Most recent purchase was yesterday, Australian Wagyu Ribeye MB 3-4, 400 days grain fed. The price was $7.50 per 100g, which is really quite decent. Anyway, I order my cuts typically 1 inch, as it works out very nicely to ~ 300g. Total damage was about $23?

They vacuum seal also, which makes it easy to sous vide (I have an ANOVA).

Sous vide tips. If you want to add spices, add before sealing and sous vide. Salt can be added during the searing step, as it doesn't really help in sous vide. 2 hours at 54.5 degC and you get a nice medium rare. Sear on both sides alternating at 1/1/0.5/0.5 minute intervals and you're done. Always remember to rest the meat so that the juices spread out!

End of the day, I got a Wagyu MB3-4 300g at Medium Rare for $23. Beats eating outside anyday.

Thinking of getting SV, thanks for the tip!

Guys/gals, any recommendations for online butchery selling steak other than Hubers? I've been buying from them throughout ** but thought of expanding horizons a bit.

I like black angus steakhouse, my to-go if I want some prime rib. Their steak cuts are nice too, fits your budget.

Dined at Ryan's Kitchen recently and enjoyed their steak. Quality cuts at not-too-expensive prices.

You can also choose the meat from Ryan's Grocery next door and have the chef grill them for you.

Went to Ryan's Kitchen using Burple's 1 for 1 deal.

3 of us ordered different cuts of steaks and 1 ordered pork chop. We shared and tried each other dishes. The steaks are good but we all voted unanimously that the pork chop was the winner

Yeah, heard good things about their pork chop as well.

Take this with a pinch of salt. Just went there again recently and the pork chop wasn't as mind blowing as previously. Maybe a tad dry. My kids who go there often with their friends also told me that their standard is not consistent

I guess it depends on luck. Maybe the chef on that day was in a bad mood lol.

Thanks for the recommendation on the pork chop.

Tried it over the weekends and it's pretty lovely. The meat was clean with nice texture. My kid enjoyed it as well.
