Actually yes.

In a way if you can encourage more people to buy a stock, the demand for it will increase and hence price increase then u sell before price tanks.

Actually MLM also same thing.

U make money by having more people onboard

Possible but u can’t push up a lot unless it is penny stocks. You are not Warren Buffett, Bill Gates.

Singapore Stocks Post Biggest Gain in Five Months on Biden Hopes
November 3, 2020

Investor expectations of a Blue Wave have swept across global markets, with money managers betting more fiscal spending by a Biden-led administration will spur growth and spark a rally in value and cyclical shares. BlackRock Inc.’s research arm on Monday upgraded Asia ex-Japan equities to overweight from neutral on the likelihood of a Democratic sweep and better virus containment in the region than the West.

STI still has a long and difficult climb. It has to hit 2800, only then some wounds will be healed, but really needs to cross 3000 for trapped people to get out and that is almost everybody.

Just think of corporate earnings potential. You think pisai singapore with its protected iron rice bowl scholars, paper generals and politicians hold a candle to the top 500 companies in USA? That's how I assess sp500 vs STI.

i get dat. sti no global market, sti no tech stocks, expensive politicians but no innovative ideas no courage. yes, i get dat all.
but it does not explain why other index oso under perform. london, israel, japan, germany.... all global reputable companies, some very innovative. but still under perform.
a lot ppl say US got a clown president and most likely an old man will be nxt president. but mkt like no care and still up up up.
