:s13:

Pardon my choice of words.

But it's tough trying to reconcile why it's red when good news.

That it - But can still buy ?

Es3? I think we're in the recovery phrase so the upside is not as much as before but there would still be upside for sure.

I wouldn't add more tho since my avg is 2.55.

Anyway es3(and most ETFs) are long term plays so hoping they keep up with dividends distribution is good enough for me.

Markets seems to like uncertainty these days. Once a news is confirmed, no matter good news or bad news, the market turns red.

Ytd also liddat, once Biden confirmed, US markets start to bleed.

During the Great Sale in March ,I first had it for $3.02 in March 2 and then caught the parang as it fell .
My lowest catch was $2.32 on March 24 .
Luckily I fixed my sum and got more as it fell off the Grand Canyon.

In 3 weeks , STI fell from >3k to 2.3k :s22: :o

The opportunity came in September again when STI fell to 2.4K+.

Need not worry of the short term fluctuations.
The market reaction is nothing new .
Buy no scared . Scared no buy is our motto.

Seems many new retail traders & investors in this forum recently.

Global and STI ETF is never for short term. Keep for 5 to 10 years to see progress. DCA more when red and less when green. slowly but surely you will see profit beyond 2025. Unless WW3 OR COVID 20/21.

How much did you buy for average of 2.55?

I'm also bemused when I see those type of posts. Got TA charts for STI some more :s13:

Exactly. Purpose of STI is to park your extra cash and forget it. Spend quality time with your business and family.

And yet keep seeing TA chart for ETF each week. Lol

Not sure why you believe ES3 is buy and forget type of investment.

There are still many who paid $3.5x for it too.
Unforgettable is more likely.

Yep, you got it right. People should really go back into the last 10 years share price before making such claims... Long term gain of what? Dividend maybe but capital gains??

Even if buy at low price of 2.50... then wait until 3.50, then what... can go up to 4.50 or 5.50??

Anyway... they happy can already

How many actually buy and hold (never sell) for entire cycle?

I for one will start to trim position once hit above 3.2k AND interest rate recover back to "normal"
