If you are feeling horrible then I should go kill myself.

I have been on the POSB Invest Saver for 6 years now and each month I put in $500. My investment cost is close to $40K and it has already lost 38% value. Best part. This money is meant for my son local university education. How am I to explain to my son that he can't go U because his father has lost all the money. Sound like a typical Korean movie man!

I better go kill myself so that my wife can claim a little insurance money. Now cannot go Bedok reservoir then better use the pail in my home toilet and put my head in ....:(

Hi guys, any advice for a noob investor?

I've only started DCA last year with POSB Investsaver and have already incurred a huge loss due to Corvid.

Worse still, due to FOMO, I've withdrawn my entire savings and dumped around 50% into STI ETF at 2.5 and everyday I'm feeling horrible as I'm afraid I've invested too much at a non optimum price.

Should I withdraw the funds now and wait for the index to drop further before going all in just to be safe?

if you cannot afford to lose, why are you gambling in the first place?

In the above scenario, you are no longer considered investing but gambling.

local uni can always take 90% loan at 0% interest while studying. Avg degree only cost ~30k+ for 4 years.

Relax. It is not one time payment for uni fees. Can take loan and pay end of course. At least 3 to 4 years buffer.

Paying for 6 years in not gambling. Somemore invest in index etf. Invest in penny stock is more like gambling.

You are right its not gambling, its just that STI has done very poorly in the past few years, really cannot blame him.

Yes. Killing myself won't solve any problem. The only way is to win my money back. How? I just doubled my monthly purchase of the STI ETF from previous $500 to now $1K a monthly.

It is double or nothing now. Don't hold me back. I have to win my's son U money back.
