Nope. At the time of checking, SPDR -1.36%. Nikko AM - 0.76%. Don’t know why lei

SPDR STI ETF and AM NIKKO STI ETF tracks the same index. Why today SPRR dropped more than 1% but Nikko only drop 0.6%?

I think;
3 ETF track STI index but with different cap and different amount of holding so there will be different.
STI 30 component is not easy to track with smaller cap.

Following the historic y-o-y plunge of 13.3% in 2Q2020, Singapore’s economy moderated to shrink by 7% y-o-y in the third-quarter, according to official advance estimates. On a q-o-q seasonally-adjusted basis, the republic’s GDP expanded by 7.9% in 3Q2020 ended September, a significant deviation from the 13.2% plunge seen in the previous quarter, according to the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) on Oct 14.

Don't need to be overly concern about the daily fluctuations.

Their longer term returns should be quite close to each. Probably not as tight as overseas ETFs tracking the same index.

sounds familiar? does is sound like anyone who tried to talk u out of investing in STI?

moral of story:
1) DCA
2) diversify
3) dun simply listen to other ppl. they likely hav ulterior motives

Just curious, what other indices/stocks you usually run TA on? I'm not subscribed to some other threads, so I don't know.

i am more FA than TA.
becoz STI esp 3 banks FA are strong, but somehow market is punishing sgx stocks. on the other hand, some US stocks is burning cash but market like them very much. so i trying TA to analyse STI.

FYI. Both ES3 and G3B have lot size of 10 shares, not 100 shares.

ETF are traded the same as any normal stock. Willing buyer willing seller. You can't buy if there is no willing sellers at your price point.

at least for STI ETF,
buy frm sgx, there is market maker. unless yr amt is >$50k, u will almost certain to get it at the ask price.
buy frm unit trust, any amt, the fund manager will create new units.

so, no. doesnt matter if anyone else wants to sell.
similarly if u want to sell, it does not matter if anyone else wants to buy.
