the sdd is now a clone of my then Win7, which in my opinion, the performance is more or less the same as my then harddisk Win7. I don't see any significant decrease in bootup time. This could probably due to the bad cloning procedure.
I had previously meddled with my BIOs in hope to tweak the performance, however it didn't help much either.
PS: I am using a Gigabyte MB, will furnish the exact model when I'm home, if it is necessary.

anybody managed to update their intel SSD 330 to the latest firmware? on the intel download page, it says the latest firmware released is 330i. but when i install the intel SSD toolkit, it still says that my firmware is the latest under the current toolbox release (even though my firmware is 300i) so the update button remains greyed out.![]()
intel firmware is not downloaded from their server via the update button within the SSD toolkit. you need to download the latest SSD toolkit. the latest firmware are embedded within the SSD toolkit software itself.
whichever cheaperDilemma.. should I get the Samsung 830 256GB SSD going for US$169 on Amazon or get the Crucial M4 for my late-2008 MBP?

Hi
I just bought crucial M4 128GB SSD. After installation, the start up is super fast. But shutting down also super slow. Sometime 5min to shut down.
Anyone encounter this problem after switching from normal harddisk to SSD ?
Go to Advance Power Settings in Windows 7, and have the power feed to ALL hard drives to never turn off.
Turning off the computer takes 2 seconds now.
how about win8 - any SSD tweaks required? or is it already optimized for SSD?
Anyone using the Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 256gb? How is it? Stable? Thanks!
I used this pci-e card, MSI SATA6 PCI-E card on my old motherboard asus P5B with OCZ vertex 3 120gb
