Go Newegg and compare price. The Crucial 128Gb is not much more expensive than the Vertex 2 120Gb. US$30 more.
That will give u more headache to compare.

Newegg doesn't accept SG credit cards. You'll need to use a service like HSG to purchase from them.

there's a 5% service charge for hopshopgo and their shipping charge quite ex from my experience. You can try borderlinx if you have a citi bank credit card, their concierge service is free.

To date, for me, Borderlinx's concierge service has been a failure. They've *never* been able to order anything that I've requested. I believe it's because they're trying to use an SG credit card as well - which I can do so on my own if the site allowed it.

One thing I'm happy with HSG is that they accept paypal, and there are PP funds sellers at the marketplace who offer pretty good rates. =) While not enough to beat their 5% fee, it does bring the cost closer to what your credit card would have charged you above the regular exchange rate.

That's funny, I just got my order from Newegg using Borderlinx's concierges service.
I found it very good and very fast.

They ordered the item within 3-4 hours of my placing the order, and I got everything in less than a week.

hmm.. borderlinx has been quite ok for me except for those that do not ship to freight companies. for those, hopshopgo is the only way to go.

Yeah i usually buy SSD from Amazon. Their prices especially for OCZ are competitive. Eg: Vertex 2 120Gb for US$230.

Didn't buy SSD from Newegg, bought G Skill RAM which Amazon does not carry.

For me, no preference. I will buy from whoever is either cheaper or more convenient. If Amazon had the item at the same price or cheaper, I would probably buy from Amazon instead, since I could just buy direct without using a concierge service.

Someone should start a service to claim the mail-in rebates. That would benefit a lot of us.

If you need little space, 40gb should be enough. I am currently using a 40gb. But $/gb is cheaper at higher capacity.
