Hi, I would like to ask if there will be a difference in gaming loading speed in the followings?

1)games stored in a 120gb ssd which includes OS
2)games stored in a 64gb ssd while OS is inside a hdd

Both ssd are of the same brand and using the same gaming system :)

go for option 1.
Yes, there is of cos a diff when loading of games.

No offence here but i would like to know why is there a difference? It's just that the game is running from a different directory ma, if both are ssd, who does the one containing the os makes the game load faster ne?
Wasn't OS in option 2 in HDD?

C:\Users\Raider\AppData\Local\Temp....but can change the folder or install in secondary hdd..even then...still have some 4k file writing to system file.

Anyway i tried MSE..not bad..some more is free to genuine win user.

ohh thanks, i guess then it doesnt have significant difference...

is the 320 much better than the older x25?

No. performance nearly identical. Nevertheless, I recently got Intel 320 to add to my x-25m g2 for brand reliability and warranty. If I want to take the risk of no warranty, I order cheap OCZ from USA.

Intel Now Offers Five-Year Warranty on Intel SSD 320 Family
Intel has announced they will be extending the warranty on their Intel SSD 320 from three to five years. This marks the first time a consumer SSD has been given a warranty length that matches that of hard drives in the consumer space. Until now, the only drives with lengthy warranties under their belt have been enterprise SSDs like the Micron RealSSD P300 we reviewed earlier this month.

Intel is really flexing their muscles to get SSD-adopters' attention when it comes to advertising their products. They have been a step or two behind some of the faster SandForce-based drives, but have offered enterprise-grade features such as power backup capabilities to keep your data safe if power drops to your computer, and the best NAND. Early-buyers need not worry about the warranty extension, as they are grandfathered in according to our source at Intel....

My Intel SSD can last more than 11 years so 5 years is nothing. Must switch on TRIM and make sure system supports TRIM.

thought windows7 have trim function? still need on?

Btw do we need to register our ssd online?

320 120Gb OOS in SLS, anyone knows which shops is still selling?
