This is for the 256GB version right? The 128GB sequential writes only hit about 140 or so I think.

Yeah. RAID0 on a SATA6 controller. The Marvel SATA6 controller is kind of sucky compared to ICH10R, but Intel's controller is only SATA3.

Yea man for RAID, controller seems to be very important, as many review sites have concluded. For onboard software RAID, Intel seems to be the best.

This is the benchmark for my OCZ Vertex 2 120GB which I have gotten from the US lately.

I am unsure of what the scores I should be getting... are those normal?

OCZ recommends using ATTO for Vertex 2 drives for benchmarking so I use only that.
http://majorgeeks.com/ATTO_Disk_Benchmark_d6359.html

I can compare with yours after that. Careful not to bench with other benchmarks too many times it will dirty the drive and performance will degrade. In such an event you will need to secure erase the drive to restore performance.

I just got a 128GB Crucial C300 from amazon.com. 275USD + free US shipping. Paired with hopshopgo's launch promotion of 2kg free international shipping, I effectively paid no shipping at all. Amounts to about 375 sing which is pretty good.

It's always funny though when you order stuff from the US, ship them over from the other side of the globe and then see this:

-.-

Why do they cost so much more in SG then?
