maybe it's really a reject, or could be my mobo. I'm using a old intel DP965LT mobo.Perhaps it is factory defect or reject.
Don't be fooled by the FAST sequential read/write.

Crucial currently wears the fastest consumer SSD crown, as seen in our recent review of the 256GB C300. Thanks to the SATA 6Gb/s interface and Marvell controller, Crucial's SSDs manage spectacular speeds. 256GB SSDs aren't for everyone though, Crucial has wisely expanded their capacity offerings to include 128GB and 64GB versions of the C300. In this review we dive into the 64GB model (CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1), highlighting the differences to the 256GB patriarch of the RealSSD C300 family.

Is up keeping a SSD ma fun mah? Trim etc
I've been waiting for intel gen3 (or any other brand's gen 3) to come out for a very long time. Any news on that so far?
Intel G3 SSD to arrive in Feb 2011
if using mac, go for the Vertex 2,
if using windows with sata3, go for Crucial Real C300!![]()
May I know why would you say this? Is it because mac uses sata2? So if I'm windows with sata 2, I shld go for the vertex as well right?
No, go for Crucial RealSSD C300 256GBSo for people like me who can't wait, go for G2 ? =S
win7 supports trim while mac os doesn't. if use intel gen2 with mac, the write speed will drop significantly couple of months later. and intel doesn't provide the ssd toolbox for mac like they do for win xp. it's troublesome to restore the ssd to optimal performance under mac.
but vertex 2 uses sandforce controller. reviews say that sandforce controller handles it a lot better and performance will only drop a little even without trim or toolbox.
for crucial c300, it supports sata3 while others are sata2 only. so if your pc supports sata3, c300 can reach 350MB read.
