199 USD isn't that good of a deal if there's no rebate, considering shipping cost and GST, it's already more or less 300 sgd.

We did a comparison before, and concluded that Intel is probably the only brand of SSD where local price is comparable to overseas.

If you want to buy online, should check out brands like OCZ, G skill, Crucial etc where the price difference is huge. So probably is due to different distributor?

Free game? What game huh? I thinking of getting C300 coz my mainboard can support Sata 6GB/S.

Interesting discussion - Best 120GB SSD?

There are basically three groups of popular 120GB SSDs
1. Intel X25M 120GB - slow but steady :D
2. Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB
3. SandForce based SSDs Corsair Force, OCZ Vertex 2, OCZ Agility 2, OWC Mercury Extreme Pro, Patriot Inferno, G.SKILL Phoenix Pro, etc

hi i'm a newbie to all of these ssds but really i want to get one cos my os will start up faster.

i see that number 3 is all grouped together as sandforce. What does that mean? sorry.

whichtype of ssd is the fastest? I'm looking at ocz and gskill.

SandForce SF-1200 SSD Processors are used in the SSDs.

Not sure if this has been asked before:

Should we defrag our SSD?
