if u r looking at x25 120gb i think u wun save much compared with SG prices. but if u r tinking of getting the vertex 2 120gb, i saw u can get on amazon.com for USD199. Including shipping via vpost / borderlinx, it should cost S$290 max...

x25 is $179 at newegg :s22:

Unless the warranty is International than will worth it ...if not got problem find who ?

intel retail sets carry 3 years international warranty. no questions asked if you got it from authorised retailer anywhere in the globe.

but local ssd pricing for intel are already matching that from overseas, i see no point :o

Now new sata 3 ssds already so fast nearing the bandwidth limit of sata 3 interface.
i would say the sata bandwidth limit is taken into consideration when the controller chips are designed. Sandforce/Marvell/etc are not going to design a chip that will exceed Sata 3 bandwidth...
