i want to change my mbp 2010 to ssd. is getting a sata3 one worth it cause my mbp only sata2 connection.
also if buying sata2 is more worth it, what brand should i hoot and what's the USD market price? significantly lower than a sata3 one?
thanks in advance!

Hi, if you are looking at buying locally, i suggest the Gamma SSD from Strontium. It is Sata 2 and have capacity 60GB and 115GB. Check out details in their website.

You order from their web-site than they will send the SSD to you by SpeedPost in Singapore within a day.

Any problem within three years just go to their Service Support centre will do.

So far bought two pcs of 240 gb SSD from them , one just replace my Mac Mini HDD and another replace my kid computer HDD , all working fine.

SLS selling Intel 320 120GB for around $148...is this after or before the price cuts? After taking into consideration exchange rates and shipping, this seems to be a pretty reasonable deal as compared to USD$99. :s11:

Yes , good price at S$148 for the Intel330 120gb model.

OK thanks for the heads up. Going to hoot one more for my laptop... :D

I'm goin to get this one later.

Is it necessary to update its FW first before install Win7?

Can I check which store is still carrying the Intel 320 120GB? I've already got one and would like to run RAID 0. Thanks!

I was reading up on intel SSDs, is the 8 mb bug in 320 a big problem? Deciding over getting 520 than 320 to avoid this bug.

Intel330 comes standard with 1 x SataIII cable , 1 x power adaptor (4 pins change to flat pins) and mounting bracket, values for money.

I didn't see the Intel 320 120GB anywhere anymore, so I was quite excited when I saw someone mention it.

But yeah, if there's no Intel 320, my next alternative would be to get the Crucial M4 256GB. Thanks bro!
