nope, F-111 was not in US service. it was superceded by the F-14 becos of a lot of design problem. grumman jit tao replaced it with F-14, only reusing the engines. the americans built a handful few for testing niah.

the design was however slightly modified and sold to aussies. they had 24 planes but i think decom in 2010 liao.

oh yah, i missed out the airforce. i actually learned about this plane when reading about the background for F-14, so my impression ish with the navy niah.
