Anyways, you posted into SGC? Through posting orders or? Should be written there, otherwise call the number and ask loh. It's important, because you dunno whether to bring in bathing stuff etc..

yea sgc...If I remb correctly...the cpt told us to bring stationery etc & we will find out on the first day...posting orders only states time,date and blk number.Jus asking out of curiosity/anticipation

How to get to Sungei Gedong Camp.

-Go to Choa Chu Kang. (MRT or interchange...whatever)
-Cross over to the opposite of Lot 1 Shopping Centre. (Opposite of 7-11 and Delifrance)
-Take 975 from the bus stop.

or

-Go to Boon Lay Interchange.
-Take 172
-Alight after the junction (surrounded by cemeteries)
-If not sure, ask bus captain.
-If still not sure, look out for other army ppl and ask them.
-If still not so sure, alighting at the tengah airbase or kim keat armour camp or even home team academy also can.
- Cross over to the opposite side of the road to take 975.

will be a long and winding road in to the camp.
will be a squeezy ride as there are other army ppl taking this bus.
quite a number of camps to pass by along the way, and Sungei Gedong is the last.

How to know where to alight?
look out for this blue sign on the left side of the road


when u see this, DON'T press the bell first.
its not the first bus stop after the sign, its the 2nd one.
if really not sure, feel free to ask the bus captain or any other army ppl tat are still left in the bus. (dun think got any other camps after Sungei Gedong Camp)

after alighting, just turn in to the left and walk down a long stretch of road.



when u see this, you know you will have to book in at this super ulu place for the rest of ur NS life. and even reservist life.

SGC is definitely not worse than my camp/base. nearest bus stop is 4km from gate , somemore no stay in ...

but when the bus reached the bus stop, still must walk 4km to the gate to enter the camp???? the bus stop not near the gate one?

Yup still muz walk up n it a slope somemore. Sure sweat if booking in in no 4..

Iirc shld b ok. But rules may change as i frm tt camp 8 yrs ago..

is there any way to transfer to another camp? we are living in the far east side. i thought they are suppose to post ple from the east to places that are not ridiculously far?

wonder if the transportation issue is a ok reason to transfer to another camp or not for ple living in the east.
