If you don't store any videos locally on the hard drive, why not get an Android box?

Web surfing and YouTube can omit the odd...

H61 supports less USB and Sata port I think...

Socket compatibility... As long as both 1150 it's fine. For Haswell..

$400 can do better than that. And even add a chassis

Asrock B75M DGS + G2130 ~ $145
Adata 4gb 1600mhz RAM ~ $43
Hitachi Deskstar 500gb ~ $58
Samsung ODD ~ $21
HEC 300w True Power ~ $35

Still got $100 for a chassis. Might be able to get a 1tb HDD and up to i3 even though you might not need it.

Buy at tradepac. DIY

quite a big differential in price (~25%)
think cos I chose Fuwell.
well noted, thanks.
cheapset too low, watch youtube HD will lag one leh. think you should get i3 min.

really bro? with current technology I would imagine even the lowest end of the spectrum will be more than enough to handle playing videos.

Confirm can..
Intel iGPU nowadays is overkill for basic computing and entertainment.

Want to go even cheaper can try dropping Intel and choose an AMD APU. iGPU has better performance than Intel but CPU much weaker (still more than enough for day-to-day computing) and system eats more power.

i3 totally overkill.

The current lowest end cpu is enough for movie playbacks and youtube lah.

Tested ACER chromebook with celeron also. Still can play smoothly.

On desktop celeron or Pentium? nah i dont think it will be any issues at all.
