my loctite 480 was bought 6-7 yrs ago. still liquid when last used a few weeks ago

i also have made in china gel type instant glue. after 2 years still liquid inside

how do u tell if the glue will harden inside? check for metal tubes that are sealed and must be pierced

my super glue brand new only screw shut. nothing to pierce because it won't harden unless you leave it open for a long time

Depends on type of glue. The quick dry cyanoacrylate type will have short shelf life.

Kept in fridge?
loctite mostly kept in fridge, but i've left it at room temperature for days recently without hardening

the china instant glue is always kept at room temperature, and never hardened

for tin, use soldering
for copper, use brazing
for iron, use welding
for wood & paper, use super glue
for filling holes in wood, use epoxy
for filling shallow holes in walls, use putty
for foam & rubber, use dunlop gp glue. if it's a shoe sole, clamps must be used, else won't work
