Was it that good? I didn't really think the story was all that great. Alex Ross paints were the attraction.
You gotta admit, Alex Ross managed to capture that Captain Marvel smirk perfectly on paint =:p

The idea that another hero (turned villain) was Superman’s equal, and can and did kick Superman’s @$$.

But Kingdom Come also started the disillusioned Superman angle which was expanded upon in later alternate storylines e.g. Injustice.

its a real pity that WB they didn't get their heads out of their ass when Cavill was superman and made a 3 part kingdom come movie. they had pretty much a perfect cast.

but instead marvel make simi snooze fest endgame series which earned them billions.

WB... always the amateur.

Apparently this ver. of Gunn’s Superman is already very much well-acquainted with Lex “Hitman 47” Luther, so no introduction is necessary.

Also given that the fact the symbol on his cape is actually a nod towards Alex Ross’s Kingdom Comes so hope to see how with the inclusion of the Lantern corps and the cosmic storyline feeds into the development of this Superman.

Anyway it’s gonna be heavily dependent on the Silver Age aspect of the Ang Deh Kor Superman so it won’t be as existential and realist like Synder’s Superman.

and people thought that Zack Synder was Woke with his realist ver. and God complex of a Superman, enter James Gunn into the fray and we gonna see how Woke this is gonna turn out to be LOL
Only Disney is woke. James Gunn’s movies were abit woke when with Disney but his DC shows, Peacemaker, Creature Commandos are far from woke.

Peacemaker had lots of nudity which would have riled up woke people.

If you don’t like woke stuff, you should stay away from Disney.

Henry Cavill is perfect for superman but this guy looks a bit like him also. Somemore by James Gunn, hope it is good. This one got the "The Batman" vibes which was a good movie.

Cavill not perfect, he is too short for superman.

Sorry. Nothing can top Henry's performance in MoS. Not even if James Gunn is on the helm for this reboot
Thx to the new teaser, I rewatched MoS again and really appreciate it so much more than it was first released

And is it just me or the new suit really look damn obiang siol. Want to do pay tribute to Silver Age Superman also give it a more modernized look mah

I'm actually quite impressed by how they shot this scene.

It shows that Superman is really.... really fast.

The last time Reeves was this fast was when he was making the earth turn in another direction just to save Lois Lane in Superman.

Of cos, I'm referring to the movie ver

It's a pity that Zack & the earlier actors weren't involved in DC anymore. Else we would have seen JL2 & JL3 with Darkseid. His movies have a dark undertone

Krypto, take us home. #Superman - Only in Theaters July 11

“Superman,” DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures. In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.

DC Studios heads Peter Safran and Gunn are producing the film, which Gunn directs from his own screenplay, based on characters from DC, Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

The film stars David Corenswet (“Twisters,” “Hollywood”) in the dual role of Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult (the “X-Men” movies, “Juror #2”) as Lex Luthor. The film also stars Edi Gathegi (“For All Mankind”), Anthony Carrigan (“Barry,” “Gotham”), Nathan Fillion (the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films, “The Suicide Squad”), Isabela Merced (“Alien Romulus”), Skyler Gisondo (“Licorice Pizza,” “Booksmart”), Sara Sampaio (“At Midnight”), María Gabriela de Faría (“The Moodys”), Wendell Pierce (“Selma,” “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”), Alan Tudyk (“Andor”), Pruitt Taylor Vince (“Bird Box”) and Neva Howell (“Greedy People”).

“Superman” is executive produced by Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo and Lars Winther. Behind the camera, Gunn is joined by frequent collaborators, including director of photography Henry Braham, production designer Beth Mickle, costume designer Judianna Makovsky and composer John Murphy, along with editors William Hoy (“The Batman”), Jason Ballantine (the “IT” films, “The Flash”) and Craig Alpert (“Deadpool 2,” “Blue Beetle”).

“Superman” will be in theaters and IMAX nationwide on July 11, 2025, and internationally beginning 9 July 2025, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Disappointed that they edited Superman flinching when getting hit by a thrown can in the new trailer.
That original flinch humanised Superman. Superman doesn't flinch from bullets but gets hurt by the actions of men who turn against him.
