its a real pity that WB they didn't get their heads out of their ass when Cavill was superman and made a 3 part kingdom come movie. they had pretty much a perfect cast.

but instead marvel make simi snooze fest endgame series which earned them billions.

also we have erza as the flash in synderverse

zack synder publicly said he hates superheroes, yet somehow u all like his heroes lol but only after he left hahahaha

Best superman movie since Christopher Reeve's 2nd movie i feel.

Yeah my fav is also CR superman 2. I never watch part 3. i know many ppl hate part 4 but i like it. Watched it when i was a kid and it blew me away. it remains as one of my biggest guilty pleasures til this day. Man of steel is probably my 2nd fav Superman film.
The new one now... don't know why i just don't get excited about it. Some parts in the trailer look stupid to me. Also the new superman appears like very weak. Got 1 scene where it shows he was held down by some human robots when getting his "sun treatment"...wtf just a few robots can pin down superman liao?

Snyder has good films but he doesn't understand Superman... Superman is not Jesus, he is more human than Batman infact because he grew up with human parents who taught up values. He is naive, colourful, innocent and wanna save lives no matter the costs.We didn't see that in man of steeel.
Snyder singlehandedly killed DC brand loh. Batman vs Superman's opening weekend was more than USD300m worldwide, that is supposed to earn like 1.5bn worldwide. But word of mouth so bad it only did 800m..
And it caused many films in the DCEU then to tank; only Wonder Woman and Aquaman standalone did well cause the films were great in itself.

The robots are not humans but kryptonians la, they are like his nurses / aids.

This is the most comic accurate superman I feel, especially since I grew up reading Supes and Batman comics.

I thinks maybe superman comic fans will appreciate the movie, but i not sure if the movie fans will enjoy it as well. And that's the problem, the movie might tank at the box office if majority of the movie goers don't like it. We shall see when the movie come out in theaters.

The best films are those that are comic book accurate and yet transcends to the big screen.

James Gunn is an expert at that, so i have full faith in Superman.
He movies are the best in MCU - he brought Guardians of Galaxy from D list comic book to household names now, and made 3 films plus a Christmas special.
His take on The Suicide Squad in 2021 and the Peacemaker series on HBO also super good.

He is honestly I think the best person who understand comics and how to bring it to the big screen; he is like Nolan but more comic savvy.

you are mistaken. i am in no way part of the simping comic book / dc / marvel crowd. i never liked or will like synder. he is a hack. james gun? also a hack.

the marvel and dc studios just want a director they can control. all these movies are made around ''moments'' which spend little to no time with character building and plot.

even one of my (very few) ''super hero'' movies that i like and will still watch today is Iron Man, directed by Jon Faveau, who is also a hack.

most super hero movies are "made via committee" movies, the layers of gatekeeping from studio executives, than their ''modern audience'' screen test audience etc. result in forgettable movies that nobody will care a few years later, while people will still be watching or studying classics like the godfather, shawshank redemption and silence of the lambs, 10, 20 or even 30 years from now.
