Surface is 120 more than ipad non pro

Which is exactly what MS wants people to do. If I am to get a higher end model, I feel it is a better investment to get an iPad Pro 10.5. The processor used in the Surface Go is really underpowered, which also means there is very limited things you can do with the device. Again, I also need to emphasize on the string of poor QC since the first Surface Pro which I am more concern.

This is why I don't get it with MS. Why is the SGo being compared to the iPad? Because of relative pricepoints. However, SGo is x86, while iPad runs a mobile OS so usage wise they aren't even in the same landscape. But then MS ships the SGo with Win10 S which confines it to store apps (granted you can turn it into Win10 Home) and makes it half an iPad rival.

cos its supposed to compete with Apple. and realistically speaking, ipad is its only option to compete.

there are some things small nimble tablets like Surface Go and ipad do that make them better than laptops or surface pro. it's supposed to be a mobile accessory to the laptop, something u use when u go out to do presentations, teach etc. Speed and performance is secondary cos all yr ever going to do is open the usual office apps, youtube, music.

but with an even higher price than ipad, about 20% more, there's little reason for folks to buy it over the ipad cos the ipad is the better tablet and can do the 'mobile' thing just as well.

Even for someone like me who's not a tablet guy, I would rather get an iPad. Getting a device that was meant to do tablet activity vs a laptop that is somehow wedged into behaving like a tablet is a no brainer.

Thing is, mainstream consumers would see it more as a cheap laptop than an alternative to the iPad simply because it ships with Windows.
