I always clear my bill fully and on time. I dont even need to pay annual fees!

You are worry about any potential privacy leak, but since you mention that you have updated the contact with the bank 6 months ago and now that the phone number belongs to the bank then that should allay your concerns.

FYI, credit department will call you and hang up just as a reminder and for record that they tried to contact you for payment, this is some kind of "requirement". If that's what you are looking deeper into, then this is your answer.

ts, you mean you inserted an Aussie number to your UOB account as contact number and this Aussie number is receiving scam calls now???

Your Aussie number can receive UOB OTP??? IIRC, only SG-registered number can receive bank OTP hor. :look:

In the first place who will bother about some random calls, most people will receive at least a few of these calls, and won't bother or simply block these numbers. Most ppl don't care, least of all open a thread here to ask.

Don't think too much.

A phone now is smart enough to block spam calls and messages.

I am hardly getting any spams. Mostly blocked by google.

Thanks for the positive note!

But how does google block a circuit line call?

If its a genuine call from bank. Then that's fine.

Even if its a real scam call, I wont be posting if its on my SG mobile number. But was surprise that oversea number is map to Sg account.

I'm just concerned with all the scam coming from all directions and our "boys" are playing catch up!

The biggest losers are always the consumers!

Not every corporate is like OCBC!

Its always the case when something happens to others and people will say you paranoid but when bad things falls on themselves, then they will go "bang table"!

.Some years back a ministor commented Sg must be realistic on their pay, then when people commented on his $600K salary, his wife came out and say! This is peanuts! :ROFLMAO:

Pot calling the kettle black!

The stuff you are asking don't even add up. First you are worried about a potential data leak, and when it has been shown to be from UOB credit department, you now wants to block the number.

If you don't want the bank to call you on that Aussie line then just remove it as a contact. Use your SG number to set up the digital banking.
