this guy knows wassup.

but, if you are a diligent person, it shouldn't matter that much to you. because you can always self study, do as many meaningful internships as you can, grad with a local degree cert from SUSS and get a good job in the future. this is if you really want to specialize in HR and do not have any other choice but to join SUSS. mark my words, in the next GES, FT HR students will have the lowest median salary.

so if you're joining the program, make sure you stand the **** out.

Thanks all for the input, will really re-consider my choices. Anyway i checked the GES that was just released (https://www.moe.gov.sg/docs/default...ndary/files/web-publication-suss-ges-2018.pdf) and realised they only show accountancy, finance and marketing? Any idea why they didn't show the other ft courses?

Damn jialat one lol. Lecturers suck, HR students are really WEIRD.

Huh, really?

I applied for SUSS FT back in December and got straight-up rejected LOLOL.
I'd assume that I didn't get in because of my GPA...

I'm still planning to appeal tho. But hearing this, I'm thinking whether should I still appeal for HR (My dip was in HR) or should I appeal and try for Marketing...

Anyone has any suggestions on HR better or Marketing better??

Hi guys i’m now contemplating between FT Finance, biz analytics and HR. Wondering if it’s worth going for HR since getting a hr job with biz degree they offer is possible too (Eg. accounting, finance, biz analytics(?) as i can minor in hr if i were to major in the biz degrees).

However confused too as HR is pretty specialised and it’s in SUSS “brand” which may make the degree more recognized and possibly a better job progression compared to other biz degrees?

Hope someone can advise on this thanks!

Definitely not. Please don't go into HR. Lecturers there are crap. The good ones left the school / went to other divisions.

Biz Analytics / Finance are solid choices provided you're able to enter them.

Hello!!

Can any seniors share the differences between the normal accountancy and the work study programme besides the extra work attachment. Which is a better programme to go for?

Hi! Don't worry too much about the interview. It's more casual than I expected.

1. Essay - As long as you know your resources, and am manage to summarise the key points/ideas, you are good to go. I went the extra mile to source out other articles and stuff, but in the end, the essay only asked you to refer to the ones that you were given.

2. Cognitive test - this is nothing to worry about. It's easy and simple, and you just have to do as much as you can within the given time. Nobody completes this test. It requires basic maths and English.

3. Group interview - Giving an opposing view will make you stand out (with good support, ofc). Don't hog, let everyone talk, but at the same, don't be afraid to voice out. This is where additional information is useful (e.g. I manage to insert the knowledge I got from all the extensive research I did).

4. Individual interview - the questions are basic, but my biggest tip is to know the curriculum well. Don't ask things that you can already find on the website (e.g. CCA, holiday breaks). The question "why social work" is inevitable. They will also ask you about your extra curriculum activities, volunteer work etc because at this point GPA is no longer the factor. They want to see if you actually KNOW what you're getting yourself into. Basically, this is the time where you need to market yourself.

I hope this helps! All the best!
hiiii, do you know if this is gonna be the same as pt social work?
