Hello. By now if still no offer from unisim for the full-time programme, does it mean rejected already? Does unisim sent any rejection letter one? Anyone can advise please.

No offer yet means waiting list lor.

Me from first batch 1,
10days after selection process they give me acceptance email liao.
During my time, the deadline for acceptance was June 2nd, so anyone who decides not to accept the offer, they will go down according to the waiting list and send you an invite.

So by June 2nd, if you don't receive an offer, means the chances are very slim liao.

Btw, in the end i reject their offer and went for UOL lol.

I'm curious about that too, I withdrew from UOL to accept UniSIM's offer as I intend to stay and work in Singapore. UniSIM has very little information around regarding its full-time programs and i'm still wondering if that was the right choice to make.

I actually like UOL's degree due to their recognition and the fact that they have a general business management degree, but having a 100% exam based degree doesn't seem like a good idea for me.

Yeah they did, it was before I accepted!

Mmm most likely they have already finalized the applicants for the first window, but frankly I'm not too sure how the acceptance rate will be like because only about 50 (or lesser) potential students attended and there are offering 400 slots this year in total across all courses for full-time at UniSIM. Second window will open on 7th June if I didn't remember wrongly! Have faith! Are you in the waiting list?

Tks for reply. Maybe its only those who havent accept got invited to exploration day? Thats why so few around. But i do know quite a number of people foregoing unisim after securing other offers. But advantage of unisim is the work attachment in term time which is good to prepare you for future career. My niece and my son on reserve list for social work and finance respectively.

Hi there! During exploration day, we get to ask any questions that we have doubts on. I would say it is a very useful session for me as I clarified a lot of doubts and I get to learn more information about the course that I was offered on. I have nothing against unisim, just that after much consideration, i decided to choose my other offer as I feel it's a harder opportunity to come by and I do want to learn something new since I already graduated from supply chain management in diploma.

Hi nope! i'm in a dilemma because i'm contemplating if i should accept unisim or go for GE next year due to the following reasons

1. even though unisim is supposedly local private uni, but i'm not sure if its going to be more recognised in singapore esp in the public sector? (i know its diff from GE but my friends are saying unisim also SIM so no diff from GE)

2. I get to graduate 1.5/2 years faster in GE due to exemptions while unisim is 4 years

3. I get the same number of exemptions for ACCA comparing with UOL & RMIT

4. unisim conducts seminar style lesson for only 6 weeks so the rest of the weeks are online lecture and online quiz (so there's only 6 f2f lessons for each module, is it normal to have so little??)

i hope somebody will be able to answer my queries and tell me a bit more to help with my confusion?

In terms of recognition I would definitely say yr friends are wrong about unisim and simege being the same. Its a common misconception and definitely unisim is recognised because it has government subsisides and enjoy privileges the other 5 enjoy in terms of financial aid. Well ofc the full time just started so we have,go wait for the first batch to graduate in order to see how good it is. Personally in my pov I like the internship opportunities they offer esp with the big 4 as well as the accredition. But ofc simge has the global edge if you wish to work overseas sometimr ltr. I do know that civil sectors like spf recognize unisim my uncle works there and he knows about this. As for duration definitely ge is a better choice since U can end earlier but I also read articles and in how hard it is to get a job with a private degree. I'm not saying for all but I personally know of ppl who went tnru these hardships but I'm sure if U work hard a ma do smart, opportunities will come knocking on ur door!

I rejected ntu Chinese for unisim accountancy.. Mainly cos of personal interest..

As for GE the main thing is the length, 2.5 years is a lot of time..

Another thing is recognition like unisim vs simge..

I guess there is no right or wrong answer, I'm gonna give unisim a go, if i really don't like it I will probably drop out and go for GE. As its 1.5 years I can still get my degree around the same time or faster as compared to finsihing the unisim degree..

And yup! the 6 month work attachment is one of the main reasons why I decided to take up the course. Its especially advantageous for Accountancy students as UniSIM has partnerships with reputable companies for their work attachments. The compulsory overseas experience was another reason for my decision as this will probably be my last phase of education I would prefer to have a hollistic university experience, and I believe UniSIM will be able to provide me with that.

hi!! thanks for the reply! yup but i went to check the financial aid but seems like the amount given to students for unisim moe bursary is lower than other local uni? and does it mean civil sector don't really hire graduates from GE?
