I'm applying for JD
Bro... are you applying for JD or LL.B?
just completed the interview. looks like they squeeze a few people in the same slots but different panel of interviewers, so it's still a personal one on one interview and not a group interview. typical questions on why law, why SUSS, and how you going to afford the course.
all the best to the rest!

Hi All..I did my interview today too..it was a panel of 5...one of them is the vice dean and also a fam court judge among them. They ask generic questions first like what have been shared below but will build up from your answers and ask from what you wrote in your PS. Quite nervy...but lucky i didn't get stucked at any point. Good Luck to all!!!
Thanks for sharing. All the best to you too!
Oh u have 2 more on ur panel compared to the other poster? Do you mind sharing ur current industry?
Yup i had 5 in the panel. I am from non law and non community industry. I am from shipping. How abt you?
Oh was urs strictly 15 mins too? do you know if we just queue and whichever interviewer group is free and we will enter or do they alr match up the interviewees and interviewers?.
Im also from transportation haha aviation.
How's shipping doing during this time? Seems to be resilient
Hi! Don't know how they decided which panel I face..from the waiting room, the screen suddenly just prompted that im sent to a breakout room...and then the 5 gentlemen already there and from that point till i leave..it was 14.5 minutes. A friend of mine whose slot was at 10.30 had a panel of 3.
They asked a lot on social work related questions.
I am indeed lucky that shipping is still okay!
i see! thanks for explaining! by social work related questions, u mean they asked a lot on ur volunteer experience?[/QUOTE

I did some vol work with youths.
yeah they did. they were strict on the 15mins. they didnt even ask if i had any questions for them, which usually most interviews ends with that. i had 3 on the panel. ferlin, paul and an external person. he's not from SUSS i think, so maybe an external lawyer or maybe someone from admissions office.
I have a feeling they might already have like a shortlist of candidates ideal for the course. so perhaps the interview is just to quickly screen those in the list, to whittle it down to the number of available spaces for the course. one of the previous posts, i think someone did a rough calculation, and there are likely over 300 applicants, so it's impossible to really give everyone a proper interview, if they have to announce the results by november. Thanks for your reply! This is quite nerve-wrecking. How would they decide on candidates based on 15 mins interviews.
