i think it's not only ok, but recommended.

graduated last year and in my experience, an essay that cites other sources and not just the given text shows that you've done your research + considered other viewpoints. as others have said it's difficult to write your essay based on just one source

i'm not an expert but in my opinion you want to be careful about this. you need to make a stand for your argumentative essay - e.g. yes, I agree etc etc. if you balance it out too well then it's very difficult to show why you have agreed. you need to throw in some disagreement to show that you have considered the other point of view, but in the end your own argument needs to be the stronger one

ETA: your word limit of 600-700 words isn't a lot. I think 3 points should be enough

No worries. When doing project, you wouldn't even realise your essay will hit 1k. Most of my past essays usually hit 1.5k to 3k. And I did complain to the lecturer that it wasn't enough. The max he gave me was extra 200 words. That was under SIM GE. I'm not sure if SUSS is very strict on protocol.

most of my tutors said they're ok with +/- 10% of the given word limit. but you should check with them to be sure

I dont think there was alot to cite from Text A? As Text A mainly tells the reader that gender diversity has been an issue and tells us how they are making changes to improve this. But I don't see many arguments from Text A on why we should/should not consider gender diversity when nominating scientists.

Because we were ask to write "to what extent do you agree that the nobel committees should consider gender diversity in addition to work quality when nominating scientists"

I'm new to this, hopefully someone can comment if this sounds right? haha

Without knowing what Text A is exactly, I think I know what you're saying and I think you're right in the sense that you have to think for yourself what are the reasons why gender diversity is important. But it probably gives you some clues and a starting point to help you figure out why.

OMG... It's 2.39am and just done with the 2nd attempt on Why do Good Quiz... 90/100. I hate this quiz! 'Why So Tricky' should be the name of the module.

D) Order Print Copy and deliver to your doorstep

im looking at copying the PDF to thumbdrive n bring to neighbourhood / shopping centre printing shop and print out everything. but im unsure if it's the best choice?

it shld be the most viewing friendly though...estimate 200 pages for $10?

I assume you are talking about the study guides? I download both the epub and pdf.

I print the pdf ones on my own because I prefer filing it myself according to the different study units. If you order the print copy, the whole set would be bound together.

I use the epub to look at videos and click on the hyperlinks for the activities. This is for psychology study guides. There are videos embedded in the epub. There are hyperlinks to further articles and videos too - these are also in the pdf file but you'll have to manually type the hyperlinks out.

PDF version is all I need. Install Xodo in my laptop. Can write notes and click the hyperlinks. My lifesaver. Without it, I'm dead.

For photocopy... I rather printout at school $0.05 each page...

For hardcopy textbook, for me either get from Carousell for free or cheapest, or mama shop at Beras Basah, level 3 is also good. There got cheap 2nd hand textbooks, including study guides... Surprisingly. Don't go to the mama shop level 2. That shop wah... Will nail you for high price even though the books are 2nd hand. Last time I went there just to check around, I overheard the uncle charged extra $10 for delivering a book to his customer's house. Wah seh. I should have helped that guy to get his books sia. But the dude made his payments already.

Contents are the same, both able to click the hyperlinks. The difference is that EPUB requires special software to open it... for example Ebook software (ereader prestigio or something else) for android system. Can use for Audiobook too. So u can walk around and listen to your study guide wherever you are.

PDF is just electronic documents of different format. You can use Adobe Reader software or Xodo or any other software that supports and opens this format. Like Ebook.
